    AEgir cd-2

received this yesterday after following the company for a while and ive gotta say its hitting the spot.
attention to detail is fantastic, bezel and crown are silky smooth and dimension wise it suits me perfectly.
ive changed the supplied isofrane strap to a russian reindeer leather recovered from the metta catharina frigate which sunk during a storm off drakes island in plymouth sound in 1786!
    thanks todd!

    regards,craig

I think that's the first one I've seen in the wild. Good stuff.

I've also been following them for a while - I like the way that they've built a watch that they want to wear, with the features that they think are important in a dive watch, rather than go with the crowd. I hope this has translated into sales, but always difficult to tell with such a new company.

Congrats on the awesome Aegir CD-2!
I love it, and the exclusive blue is way cool!
CD-2 is perfect on the vintage leather strap.

Great catch! Enjoy that one. 8)

    cheers, Dave

    Looks good.
Also like the look of the CD-1, which seems to have a thinner fixed bezel.
Never heard of the company before.
    AUS $2,140?
What's that in real money? :)

I'd like to see one of those movements close-up. They seem to use a LIGA-esque technique to produce escapements, etc (StruTec(R)). Rather interesting from a #watchnerd point of view...

    Cheers John!

    Very interesting indeed.

I gave my dad a belt made from that same leather as they use for the straps, a little shop in Falmouth Cornwall sold the stuff. It came from a sunken ship with Russian hides 8) .

I genuinely thought after that title of the post that this would be the work of a spambot but am pleasantly surprised to see a great watch that I wasn't previously aware of. Thanks for the pics and letting us find out a bit more about a lesser-known brand!

thats interesting, i actually bought 2 of the straps a 22mm and a 24mm because the leather will soon run out.apparently,a london shoemaker has bought the lions share of the hides.im guessing the belt wasnt cheap!

No, certainly wasn't cheap, but it's still his favorite :)
They had some great stuff there, I was naerly tempted by a man's leather bag for work, but the 2000,- GBP pricetag made me change my mind, the pound/euro exchange was very bad in those days.

It is the Soprod A10 in that watch, and the Mhvj Cal 2005 in the LE version assemled and regulated by Thomas Presher
