I need a holiday. Preferably a 30yr one. In NZ. With my dogs. Maybe the wife too if she sorts this ****ing menopause mania out. ;)

I've got next thurs/fri off work. So that'll have to do for now.

    Ugh I am ILL.
More concerningly is that as a result of this malaise I've lost my voice and now sound like Jimmy Somerville.
I'd like my infinitely lower tones back immediately thanksverymuch.

    I've let my beloved 2006 911 Manual C2S go.

Enjoyed every mile - got her in 2008 with 5k miles on the clock.

She's just shy of 40k miles now and we barely ever use her. So it's time for her to go to another home.

Excellent cars, never put a foot wrong. I'm quite sad about it :(

And when the time is right, sooner or later, I'll add a different vehicle to the 'weekend car' slot :)

My left nostril always blocks up before my right nostril. Except when I have a genuine cold, then it's righty that gets blocked first.

I've just spent 70 quid at Amazon on modelling supplies to make a £4.99 Airfix model, and I've still not bought the paint!

Brilliant, that made me LoL! You're going to be at the price of a reasonable watch soon.

    What you building anyway?

Another short notice, cancelled house viewing (our old house is on the market).

Why are some people such unreliable, flaky *****?

The first one will be a 1/72 Airfix Spitfire mk 1, a basic model that came free when I bought some modelling stuff. I'm going to make loads of mistakes so this is a good place to start.

Lots of stuff arrived today but I can't start, I forgot to order the glue!

We could say at least they cancelled rather than just not turning up, but I appreciate its very disappointing. Maybe look at it this way, better to find out now they are flaky and unreliable rather than halfway through hit transaction when the pull out.

agree completely. We've just see to have had a few (maybe 4) of them. Either no show with no notice or up to THREE HOURS late.

I'm going to suggest viewers pay £1500 up front in future and we'll knock that off the final price when they buy :)

That is annoying, I've done something similar this afternoon. I spend 30 on a Raspberry Pi a while back. Yesterday I discovered there are a vast array of sensors, cameras, relays for power control, wireless and other cool chipsets available that can be connected to it.

Just spanked over 100 on these parts for a home automation project, way more than the pi itself. Unfortunately I chose the wrong interface cable for the camera, which is a key part of it so the delivery had been delayed. Arrgh!

I'm not really a bracelet kinda guy. Don't like them. I think it's because I'm almost always dressed casual and don't think a bracelet suits casual....

But yesterday I put my 1972 Red sub on it's bracelet and am determined to try and wear it all week. I can barely look at it.

There's a guy over on the speakEV forum who's first post was a wtb for a Tesla model S. His budget is £20k.

    It's like buying a nearly new 116610 for £2k.

He's going into meltdown because people are spoiling his thread by telling him it's not going to happen!

Last week I bought my first 32-inch-waist jeans in about 15 years. It wasn't that long ago when I fit snugly into a 34.

    Feels good. :-)

I'm right with you there; this time last year I was approaching 36" waist jeans, 32" are a good (not tight) fit now.

And as you say, if feels good.

When I buy my 32W 32L slimcut jeans from Uniqlo I get them to take the waist in by an inch

    *prepares to get trumped*

Watching my contemporaries go fat and bald is far more a pleasure than it ought to be but sod it

I'm 5' 11" and I've never managed to break the 30" waist barrier Somewhat worryingly an increasing number of high street chains no longer stock trousers smaller than 32" in store.

i am a 38 waist and a 34 inside leg, why do all shops assume if you have a 38 inch waist you are a fat shortarse?

also...on clearing a cupboard out prior to the fitting of a new kitchen i just found a tin of mackeral that went out of date in 2001.

A week today I will be getting married. It's the second time, and I am beginning to feel more nervous than I did for the first!

I've got the most important thing sorted out - what watch I will be wearing - everything else remains a blur at the moment :-/

    Wish me luck guys :-)

Been in some sort of retirement (stay-at-home-dad) now for two months. Not sure I am liking it. Don't get me wrong, it is plain fantastic to spend time with our little daughter, but afraid I need some kind of intellectual challenge or I'll go down sooner rather than later.

The chances of it living up to seventeen years of yearning: not high. Sometimes it's better to miss something than to have it.

    I wonder if there's a VL-TONE emulator online.....

My company is for sale and hundreds of us will lose our jobs by September. Those that know this, like me, have more or less downed tools. Today I will be working from home and turbo training then playing FIFA 2016 a lot. Been doing a lot of this lately.

Not me - I spent all weekend flobbing about on the sofa in front of the TV, bliss.

(ok, I did walk the dogs loads and attempted a couple of runs - but it was nice to not have to go out and socialise etc).

I've just found out that the site I work at will be closing in July with the loss of around 200 or so jobs, including mine. I'm working a night shift tonight, that's when I'll be subject to the full announcement.

It hasn't hit me yet, not looking forward to when it does.
