I cannot get Lana Del Rey's Videogames out of my head; not helped by the fact that Swiss have adopted as their boarding music. I'm worried that she's just a marketing construct conceived by a record company rather than a serious musician. Nice though....

It's to do with conservation of energy.
If they make noise they use up some of their energy & thereby smell less. Conversely, silent farts remain furiously potent as little energy is expended when they are expelled. Well that's my theory anyway.

Just listened to The Damned's Smash it Up (pt 2 for the purists). Haven't heard that in absolute yonks and it still sounds brilliant - one of the first real punk bands and they could really play.

Saw them live some 33 years ago*

I was very underage, but that's a very long time ago when you write down

    * It might have even been the same venue as Siouxsie & the Banshees (1978 in Bromley I think). Does that sound right?

I was skeptical of democratic capitalism until I ended up at a 24 hour McDonalds and saw the multiculturalism and efficiency it entails.

Unless you particularly enjoy sitting in stationary traffic, the area around Kingston-Upon-Thames should be avoided at all costs between the hours of 6am to 10am.
Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.

Don't keep bombs in the same room as your coffee maker.

I learned this the hard way.

P.S. Does anyone need any wallets or shoes made? My Hippo has just walked in with yet another dead crocodile.

With an AK-47 you don't really need to aim accurately.

Anyway with an AK-47 there's a definite advantage for the croc, as with the narrow trigger guard and limited clearance to the mag the hippo would not even be able to fire it. If they had soemthing like a FAMAS or an AUG with their more accessible triggers it would be anybody's guess.

On the whole though I think hippo wins. Much bigger, tougher, more active and mean, and being a mammal much more intelligent. Unless we're talking about a spidercroc here.

    You mean Billie Piper?

The fact that I know who Evans is and that Piper is his ex and so on annoys me more than I can explain. And that is by far not the only bit of useless information I know, I'm a walking, breathing and talking lexicon of irrelevance. I'm always having these moments, being triggered to realising: "Hey, I know that, that's..." - followed by an immediate wave of rage over unwanted and undesirable knowledge trespassing into my memory: "Now why the **** do I know that ****?!?!"

I wonder if I'm the only one?
