I'd imagine that's a question best asked in a couple of days. Today is retirement day...I went drinking. The day after...I was recovering with a hangover.

Thoroughly enjoyable...as is retirement...I hope that's also true for Dr. f.

    Cool

Bit odd, inside feel about 30 but really 55 and in my job that makes me eligible for lump sum/pension.Given myself 4 months of same work part time to see how I feel.Pleasant evening tonight watching favourite film,Titfield Thunderbolt, with some bubbly and on wrist an Oysterquartz on apro.

Oh, I love the Titfield Thunderbolt - Ealing at it's best!

My random disclosure is that I'm cooking Tagliatelli Carbonara ala Beaunidle which involves crispy bacon on the top. My youngest progeny is watching Peppa Pig on the iPad and I keep singing 'Bacon Fat' instead of 'Peppa Pig' in my head as each new episode begins.

Apropos of nothing, Lilly Snowdon-Fine who voiced the original series' Peppa is now very hot. I am a sad man.

Have had a thoroughly unpleasant and painful kidney infection all week. Not recommended.

However, helped ease the pain today by watching The Godfather for the first time. That's recommended!

So I've heard. My family are away this weekend, so it's an ideal time to watch it as my wife wouldn't normally want to watch films of this genre. I will report back with thoughts once I've watched it!

Just tried partridge for the first time. Followed the instructions and it was still bleeding on the plate. Yes, right. Nuked it. Two forksful. Tasted like chicken, so next time I'll have chicken. Much cheaper and you get a decent portion.

Replacing some old decking has turned into the job from hell: bad weather, lack of correct fixings, wet wood and painful shoulder are all conspiring to hack me off big-time.

And dont get me started on the price of wood these days...

So, I followed up yesterday's personal premiere of the Godfather with my first viewing of the Godfather Part II today. Another fantastic movie! Why have I taken so long to get round to seeing these movies?!

Will have to follow these up with Part III I guess, although I've heard it's not as good as the first two.

Will also have to watch Shawshank Redemption - I've never seen that either! I know, I know...

Spend aa good thousand or two on watches but I'd rather walk half an hour instead of down the street to buy cheaper Saintsbury's eggs, with a saving of 2p per egg.

While walking, how many times do you check your heart rate using the pulsometer scale on your chronograph? If it's none...you're missing out.

It did not happen for me, distance wise it was no further than my R11 but was slightly more consistant but not Ł249 worth. So I start 2016 with the R11

On Sunday evening I set the bezel insert on my '666 SD so that the the pip is at 10 and not 12. Just to see if I could deal with it.

I've worn it every day and it's driving me insane. Can't bear to look at it. :)

I used the Special Delivery priority window at the Post Office today. It caused unhappy grumbling from the very, very long queue waiting for the other windows. Happily I left before a riot could break out.

More daytime Jerry Springer - this is awesome - a woman came onto the stage and said "I'm a lesbian" at which point everyone erupted in riotous cheers and applause, and then started chanting "we love lesbians! we love lesbians!"

    Brilliant!

Ye gads! Jerry Springer gets better and better! I love it! I thought I would hate it, but I LOVE it!!

Today, one woman guest to another (fighting over a fugly man) on sending bikini pics to him: "you dont have the body for a bikini anyway", "oh no?" - cue woman pulling off her dress to reveal bikini and other woman immediately starts a cat fight with her!

    Awesome!

Yep - I am completely off the wagon and ate a whole one yesterday, though to be fair it was a fairly small sized one, not a full loaf!

    Amazing!

My mum used to make it herself - that was incredible and I miss it - nothing beats "home baked by mum"!

Yesterday I finally gave in to a neck/arm pain that’s been plaguing me for a couple of weeks and so went to the doctors. After discussing the symptoms and a general physical check-over she proclaimed that she thought the problem was “a trapped nerve at your C7 vertebrae”. So I asked her where exactly that was and she demonstrated by prodding it...

    JESUS CHRIST!!!

The pain was so intense I nearly hit my head on the ceiling, my eyes were watering and I felt like I’d been stabbed with a blunt knife. And her response? “Oh yes, it’s definitely your C7”...

Next time I’ll effing ask for a written diagnosis.
