5h on a train SW to NE.
Would be nice to let the train take the strain... if I didn't have a report to do - still, it could be worse - I could be driving 5h & still have a report to do at the end!

I wish those people that "make clothes" wouldn't increase the arm length for "tall" fittings.

We are tall - not simian.

    Olympic cycling

Just stood outside work to watch some of the cyclists go past.

Knew they'd be fast, but that was ridiculous

    Thanks for asking, yes.
I did go for a routine Bipap (breathing machine for sleep apnea) which I thought was going to be routine only to find I may end up needing oxygen at night, which I'm unhappy about, as you might imagine.

I get married on Saturday, so this time next week I will be on honeymoon.

I am stressed out and to be honest little worried, but overall looking forward to it, also happy I will now be allowed to wear my "wedding" watch in regular rotation.

I'm counting my blessings that I don't have to drive through Birmingham on the motorway every day: yesterday was bad enough to last me for a looong time: so bad SWMBO declined my request for her to take over the wheel.

They aren't cheap either, bra's, so that's unfortunately money wasted.

That said, stick it here on SC you'll likely get some offers.

    Hanging baskets.

And you've got me craving a corned beef and salad cream sandwich.
Which sucks as I'm attempting vegetarianism at the moment.

Are you referring to your bra here, or am I missing a pretty cryptic random disclosure?

To be honest I never expected the response level to my corned beef thread. It was that incidental a thought that I very nearly posted in here instead.

Good luck with the vegetarianism. I managed four hard years but was eventually swayed by a sausage*.

    * and a cold one at that. Found it in the fridge. Sat on a plate, resting teasingly on top of a small puddle of it's own by then settled cooking juice. I still remember the moment, which in biblical analogy might be compared to that tempted moment when Eve finally succumbed to the apple. Saucy harlot. Should have had a sausage.

I used half a bra as a dome port cover (dome port on an underwater camera housing) - pretty effective it was too, plus lots of smiles when I emerged out of the water on a shore dive in front of a beach-ful of sunbathers.

Never really looked in this thread so not sure how it works, but:

    1. People who say that being unemployed is boring are wrong, particularly when the Olympics are on.

    2. Minimalism is fine, but not at railway or tube stations. Plenty of signs please, not least ones that tell me where I am.

    3. Anyone dragging the "GB good at sports that involve sitting down" joke out of its decade old sepulchre has never rowed, sailed small boats, cycled competitively or tried any other of the sitting down sports.

And edit: 4. Anybody saying "Team GB" deserves chastisement, if not a punch on the chops.

It is advisable to check that it is sun-cream you're putting on and not artificial tanning cream.

My shins are tingling/stinging in a very unpleasant way after being subjected to a 2 hour whipping from nettles and brambles whilst mountain biking this morning.

My forearms are pretty painful for the same reason.

im not a fan of them really..
fresh squeezed orange juice, yes.. but the 20 minutes worth of fighting, pith under nails and juice everywhere fiasco is never really worth it for a rumpled piece of sticky fruit that ends up looking like its been mangled by a tractor.
