How dare you
Okay, apologies for the delay... The little one was struggling to sleep this evening (she teething-ish.....) :banghead:
Here are some Q & D pix for now :chuckle:
I personally think it cheapens it a little but I can see where you're coming from. I think a brown leather may work better... Or that's the way I'd go anyhow.
You've got me thinking about trying a strap on my v1 explorer ii now :bom:
umm... Thanks.Originally Posted by W44NNE
Are you sure you want to cheapen your V1 ExpII a little?
Here is a wrist pic... Im loving it. Great for wintery days
I don't think a brown strap would to be honest as brown usually works well with a white or blue dialOriginally Posted by esm
I like it on the leather, but I also think a brown strap would be a better match. IMO of course.
I've got to be honest - I prefer it on it's OG bracelet
Sorry..........
Saying that i've had a couple of Toshis before and Rich does make a nice strap
Not too sure about brown straps tbh. I have always had brown straps with black dial watches.... :)
I'd probably get a brown strap if this 216570 had some sort of brown colour on the dial.
What is an OG bracelet?
My gf always tells me off if I wear black shoes and a brown jacket  I generally ignore her of course but only because I won't be told :blackeye:
I used to havea brown strap on a black dial hamilton but its the only time I've thought that's ever worked on one of my own watches. I think generally black straps go nice with black dials and silver dials. Brown works well with blue and white dials.
I think a good quality, rugged dark brown leather would look great as it would tone with the orange hand and go well with the white dial. On the daytonas, Rolex themselves offer a brown leather strap option on the white dial models.
Thats a brilliant combo!
I can see your point.Originally Posted by W44NNE

I don't need a belt... My pot belly works just fine :mrgreen:Originally Posted by esm

Great watch, great strap, but for me the combo just doesn't work very well.

I really like the new explorer II... How does it look on a NATO or Zulu... Could you post a pic or two?
I think it looks great. And it's quite an interesting reminder that the current big-case crop of rolexes are chunky enough to work on a Toshi. Cool!
Just need a 216570 now. And a Toshi... :)
Lovely strap and watch, but I'm not sure I like the combination together.
regards,
Nick
Looks best on it's Oyster as with all Rolex professional models IMO.
:D
i guess there'd be no fun if we all liked the same thing... isn't?!? :drunken:
sure, here they are (couldnt search for the previous thread.... so i will just link the pix)Originally Posted by sts1976

I'll agree with a few other posts - the Toshi is lovely but I hate the way the EXPII looks on it and mine will not be put on a leather - I'd have to see lots of different colours and options to see if any leather would work - the Orange strap almost works though.
Original bracelet or a nato type strap only so far for me on these.
It's just a matter of time...
I don't like metal straps, so I love the white strap look in the last photo - really brings it together.
Love the orange zulu... maybe the 216570 would prefer a steel buckle rather than the PVD!
The photos of the 216570 is great, it looks so much better on a strap than on a bracelet. I would say I have never seen the 216570 look this good. Please somebody do post some more photos of the 216570 on a strap.
It kills me the way people can't seem to think outside the box when it comes to attaching something to their Rolex. Bracelet. Or NATO. That's it.
I think it looks great on the Toshi strap. Listen to your heart... :)
Once it has broken in it'll be the most comfy thing ever - and it will be the only Exp2 in the world on one (until someone copies you ;) )
Looks a lot better than I thought it would actually - as someone has already said that's possibly down to the chunkiness of the new case.
Nice to have options, enjoy.
