You will buy something, no doubt about it.
You will like it, no doubt about that.
You will then want something else, no doubt about that.
There is no cure, no doubt about it
I need to buy something - I keep trying then I see something else, (another watch), that I move onto
Is this a TZ-UK symptom
it gets stronger every time I log on
Is there a cure?

My best advise for this "problem" is to identify something which is twice your budget and then spend months saving and looking at the internet to find it at the best possible "good price" - i.e. something you can afford. Very satisfying when it all comes together.
However my favourite method is to identify something which is really rare - does not have to be expensive - and then focus on trying to find the best example possible for the least amount of cash.
Currently I have set myself the task of finding a 1940's 38mm 18ct up/down Chronometer with a Angelus Cal 215 movement. This has taken 6 months so far and the chase is well and truely on. During that time I have not purchased another watch. :D

Bill, buying a watch isn't going to stop you wanting others. So take your time finding something you really like.

And once you have it take some photos of it, post them on here with the words "My Grail has arrived".......Then sit back browse watch talk and SC and start the process again. :lol:Originally Posted by Pablo

you have the watch-pox
Cutting your internet connection and stabbing needles into your eyes when you go near the watch shops usually keeps the spending at bay
How very true, although it could be worth combining a grail arrived post with the for sale oneOriginally Posted by carlyrox

Then I found out - despite having bought 10, I can no longer buy and sell as the post count has moved to 250 (wtf?). So, posting here with a boring saga to close the gap!!
Yes buying is the easy part. Resisting is the hard part :)Originally Posted by Xantiagib

black faced wavy dial co-axial SMP bought - 2 years old - it's nice - it really is - a full set - all the boxes and papers
did the deal "down the pub"
Sounds like you're doing fine so far.
You're looking but you haven't bought yet.
It's when you hit the Submit button and commit to a purchase, yet still find you're itching.... that's when you need to worry.
I bought it and I'm wearing it - my AT has gone "back in it's box" for a day or twoOriginally Posted by pmdf

Don't do what I did and sell the one you've been looking for forever because another one that looks nicer comes along. Keep the first one until you decide on the second. Then again, I've done that since and now have a watch for every day of the month. DOH!

In short:
Yes,
Yes,,
No.
I seem to be suffering similar symptoms. Luckily for my savings the watch i'm looking for doesn't seem to appear often and when it does i'm beaten to the punch. So my advice is look for a sinn 103, U1 or ezm3. Your cash should be safe for quite a while that way in my experience.

It's never enough, is it? I find it so hard to make a decision it gets in the way of actually buying anything.
