Seems a bit pointless to me, glancing at the wrist to check the time is one thing, not knowing what month or season it...?

Playing Devil's Advocate, by this logic Annual Calendars in watches are also useless (shows the month) and everyone has a mobile phone to check the time :)

Interesting idea, as is the Kickstart funding mechanism.... I will not be parting with any cash though...

To answer the question; "useless gimmick."

"Do you have trouble being 'in the moment' for longer than a few seconds?" Oh please, where did he pick that up, Marketing for beginners?

This would be good for someone who feels time moves too fast  You'd hardly notice it moving on this "device". I think it's more "art" than "clock"

That is a bit harsh imo. I have seen worse in Tate Modern ;)

If you watch the video, it does look better than in the picture I linked, a nice curved glass e.g., so at there is some effort there.

I quite like the idea, not keen on this particular model though.

    Pointless gimmick.

The hand goes round the face once per year and the colour tells you the season? Why does that need a custom microprocessor, FFS? Why would anyone want something like this to tell them the season? A window is both more useful and more accurate, frankly.

    Bah, humbug. Piece of crap.

The clock I quite like. I wouldn't go out of my way to get one .Having watched the vid I would say that the product represents a misguided answer to the right question.
Good luck everybody. Have a good one.

No art, craft or real skill involved in that project IMHO.

Certainly I think it's an ornamental item rather than a timepiece in the traditional sense. But I think there'd be something quite wistful about seeing the progress of the .. well I guess you could call it a month hand; twelve of them every complete rotation .. around the dial.

It would give you a symbolic representation of the time of year in a way that a window wouldn't. I want one. But not that one. A plain dial with no seasonal representation would be great.

I assume the colours are meant to indicate seasons and/or temperature?
