    502 seamaster

Bought this from a friend today, after i created some funds from selling some other pieces from my collection, a 502 calibre seamaster. My friend had noticed crown was worn, and sopent a considerable time phoning his contacts so that he could get a crown appropriate and original for this watch.. :)
Its always good to buhy a watch from a fellow WIS.. its the small details such as this that matter.
here is the pic with old crown..

Beautifully balanced. Clean too. I like the gold furniture in a steel case.

Yes, often an excellent combination, especially with a white/silvered dial.

Here's another steel case with gold indices & hands.

Obviously not of the sams calibre as the Omegas but pretty well finished all the same. I also like the way the indices and case blend on this watch as well.

    Cheers,
    Martin

It looks good because the different metals seem to age together in the most visually pleasing fashion. That's why dials that have been restored just look 'wrong' even though they are clean and almost 'as new'.
