Over 100. Around half are "vintage", around 20 are Seiko divers, a dozen are quartz, and the rest are fairly recent. The vast majority cost less than £100.
I've been collecting for about 5 years.
Sometimes I get the impression that users here have been collecting watches forever.
Some collections are huge and seem to have been bought under a long period of time, and some are content having one perfect watch.
Just thought it would be fun to know how many watches users have at the moment.
I currently have 9; G-shock, Mikael Kors chrono, Seiko sumo, Seiko skx171, Seiko fathoms, Meister superstar, 2x Omega seamaster Deville, Omega pocket watch.
And answer truthfully!

14 at present, lost in the wilderness, need to focus.

A primary and a couple for work/grubbing about.
That said, I've had 38 in the last 2 years.
7 I need to keep it below 10 and will have to start a one in one out policy at some point.
No you don't :DOriginally Posted by dtc2
I've varied from 4 to 9 - currently 6
Between 15 to 20 watches at the moment. Only about 5 watches are worth keeping or have sentimental value.
Twenty something for me. Admittedly, the something may be more than I realise, as I don't count them up anymore.

Nick
@clockworks  That sounds crazy! I've been collecting sneakers for some time and have about 50 pairs, mostly Nike. 1 year ago I (my girlfriend) decided I need to find a new addiction, because we don't have space for more sneakers. Watches take less space.
Perhaps you also need a new addiction... or do you have a warehouse?
Down to 9 at the moment, I'd have more if finances permitted. Mind you, it does meant that they all get a reasonable amount of wear. I think I peaked somewhere in the high 20s, which I'd probably not like to return to, but somewhere in the teens sounds liks a decent compromise. (Especially as 3 of mine currently are G-Shocks.)

I've just got my 9th, but two will get significantly more wear than the others so may end up selling the other seven and getting something like a Panerai.
As of 5pm today I'm down to 112, although there is one on SC I'm very tempted by
Seven at the moment. I can see myself being up to ten fairly quickly.
I am trying to get (down) to 2 boxes X 8 watches... so far I am not succeeding.
23 currently. There are two I want but I really need to reduce the total number down a bit.
35 at the moment, just counted them.
Varying from a couple of quartz freebies to a some reasonably prices chronos.
Changes month to month.
4 right now. planning a birthyear watch at some point and than I think I am covered :) I keep myself saying
Amazingly I'm down to 5. It was 12 just a few weeks ago.
My target is 3 (G-Shock, Ulysse-Nardin and "something else").
Need to get rid of a couple more first though.
Cheers,

5 hoping I would get my 6th one soon and a few more, I am not sure if I would ever get to the same point of the members who said they own 100+ watches in the poll though  .
11 but only 4 are regular wearers.
I know who am I trying to kid :roll:Originally Posted by DS3R

I genuinely don't know exactly how many. I currently have about 16 watches in a safe deposit, another 16 in a watch box, probably half a dozen in various drawers, four solar ones on the window sill, one on a winder, one on my wrist, one on my wife's wrist which is technically mine and one in my lap as I'm about to change the strap.
I need to get rid of a few, I suspect...
Over 50 poll hits in about an hour. Thanks for posting!
I thought I somehow had overestimated the craziness on this forum, but I guess not :D
Was 18 until this week, now 19 after I picked up at Rotary Auto Skeleton watch, just so I can sit there and watch it work.
Got up to nine at one point, but back down to five currently. I have a 6 watch box, and a feeling that the space might be getting filled (hopefully) within the month...
7 at the minute, but who knows where it may end up.
Only 5 for the last year or so. Could spend money and buy more but i like wearing the ones I have and can't see the point in having watches sitting in the safe that won't see the light of day. Of course if money was no object it would be a different situation! I'm not yet infected with the collecting virus.

Good luck everybody. Have a good one.
Thirty odd + at the last count but that does not include the ones in bits or the bits of ones on order.
16... all seiko 6139 and 6138 models
Normally there is a 'Mike Wood' entry, it doesn't matter exactly how many watches he has, it is just more than anyone else...Originally Posted by seikopath

Without going and counting I think I'm down to 13 now. I only really wear 2 of them at the moment though  There are however, a few more I'd like to get before the year is out :drunken:
ive been looking for that classic 'big collection' post from the states - took the guy about 8 hours iirc just to get all his watches out of storage and set them up to take the pictures.
Good luck everybody. Have a good one.
Down to 25 now, but seem to only wear 4 or 5 of them these days
Dan
About 30 I think, but currently looking to trade in a few mid range ones for something a bit special (well, to me).
It's surprising just how quickly you start to 'normalise' the costs in this game - actually, it's bloody scary !
About 15 or 16 I think.
Planning to get down to 11, which I think is a nice number.
Wait until JohnBaz tells you how many he has! :D

I try and keep the collection down to fit my 24 watch box but it's currently overflowing with 42 in there.

I'm currently at 9. The ones in my sig all get worn for a week or so at a time on some sort of random rotation, then I have a couple of G-Shocks for bike / beach wear. There are loads more watches I'd like to try and since I can't see myself getting rid of any of the ones I currently have I doub't I'll stay below 10 for long...
My wife always says I have too many watches, so I just kept on getting more to pi55 her off
Even though I can only wear one at a time
2 Watches only - Omega PO and a Tissot T- Touch
5 and steadily growing, Rolex, IWC, 2 Seiko, Casio, I'm getting worse!
Andy
Have done a lot of changing the focus from quantity to quality recently, so I'm at only 8!
AP ROOD, RG Day-Date, Deep-Sea, Sea Dweller, Portuguese 7-day, Datejust, Zenith Elite and Speedbird GMT.
