    Fortis B-42 Chrono GMT

I was searching for another vintage Zenith while I found this one. The watch is great so I postponed Zenith with no reagreat. The B-42 case is awesome, watch is heavy and high but comfortable, dial has clear design and double AR saphire finishes the look of this beatifull watch. 8)

Always fancied one of those. Is there enough lume to tell the time easily at night?

I have a non gmt version, i find it takes a few seconds to distinguish between the two different tips of the hands. The lume works well but as you can see, there is not a lot of it due to skeleton hands + small indices..

Nice watch kubama, your pictures show how effective the ar coatings are on these watches. Think I might get my one out of the box :)

That's really nice. Love the Fortis B42 range but unfortunately lug to lug they're too big for me.

    regards,

Had the black dial version many years ago, but I have somehow always preferred this one.

Lume is great ... I mean it looks great, those small lume dots ... but this doesn't last long. It's not Panerai sandwich dial ;)

BTW, are the hands painted blue or blued (either heat-treated or chemically)?

I saw a used example (this one?) for £800 recently and was soooo very tempted. A beautiful watch and great purchase.

I like this. I have the non gmt chrono version and it is a real treat to take it out of its box and put it on.

I had, and very foolishly let go, the chrono non-GMT version of this. Absolutely brilliant watches and the GMT is just better still. If you have (or can get hold of) a bracelet they are very impressive in themselves.

    Keep hold of it! :)

Really beautifull one, I love the connection of white and blue color. It`s little like modern version of the Marine watch...

I didn't know the Fortis looked so good. The blue markers and hands really make the watch stand out.
