    .
In a recent luncheon F.P. Journe said that Breguet did not invent the tourbillon to
average out the effects of gravity, but to minimise the oil settling.

... he also said that a remontoire improves timekeeping performance (to which I
agree ... one day, all spring-driven mechanisms will be remontoire-governed).

I bought this one from le'bay for three quid in the hope of using the module in another watch, strangely :( nothing worked on its arrival.. however, back off, a clean of the pushers, remove a bucket of crud and a sweep out inside got it going again, and now its a great little watch again :D

    btw its an H556-503A

I've found that I can go about 4 days max with a black strap on a non-dress watch before I start wondering whether that's all there is to life. ;)

    Best wishes,

Atlantic Master Mariner for me today. I took the photo of the watch this morning outside in our office car park and it certainly looks a lot better than the indoor photos I've taken previously.

    The usual Seiko

As it'll be another straight from work drink session, and bouncing of walls/people/etc. at 4am the Seiko never looks the worse for wear - unlike me!

Oh..I forgot to add "front face" picture.. ;) It's a Czech watch PRIM - Chronomag edition. It was made for 40 lucky members of Czech and Slovak watch forum and except the leather strap and sapphire crystal, it's completely made from czech parts and in Czech rep. I'm very happy owning one of them ;)
