It's a Sinn Jim, but not as you know it...

Ok, so I finally bought a new tripod and found a few minutes to play.

The old Sony Cyber-shot is still the same.

The Ikea plastic bin to filter light is also the same.

I've had both the watch and the bracelet for some time, but it is a new combo :)

For the curious, the strap is a Staib mesh turned into a bracelet by Vollmer and PVDd - although it's unbranded.

What do you think to the combo?

    Thanks for looking.

Not for me, the mesh is too fine for such a chunky watch. I reckon a thick mesh would look much better.

I like it. Not a massive Sinn fan but works for me.

Can't go wrong with black & red. The gmt hand is nicely discreet.

Even though I don't usually like mesh, I do like that combo.

Sorry, not going for that combo at all.

Love the U2 but not so keen on the mesh bracelet.

But the only thing that matters is that you like it!

    Thanks again.

Hey Jesper - nothing wrong with a bit of East meets West :-)

The mesh is not chunky at all but balances the watch head ok.

The mesh lightens (colour-wise) the otherwise deep black impact of the watch - especially with the superb OEM bracelet - giving a more grey/charcoal feel.

    Cheers

Love it, its a brilliant combo. The mesh is a great bracelet, comfy to wear, easy to size in warmer or cooler weather and is pretty stylish to boot.

Nice pics as well, I like the effect when the acute angle distorts the crystal.

Great watch, but I'm not sure about the mesh, it isn't a mismatch, but maybe a black kevlar divestrap works better?

    Thanks again for the comments.

I did toy with the idea of a GGB Bremont Style strap for it...

The OEM that was made for it :)

    Right

JSAR on UTS mesh. Best mesh EVER! (at east in my humble opinion).

That's cool. IIRC Staib make the mesh for UTS, along with most of the quality mesh out there!

I like this Staib one too 8)

I am not aware of who make the mesh bands for Herr Spinner, but that one certainly looks to be of the same lineage as UTS mesh

Re: It's a Sinn Jim, but not as you know it...

I like the watch and like the bracelet but it's the connection between the two that ruins it for me........chunky lugs and slim mesh ends :(

Re: It's a Sinn Jim, but not as you know it...

In that case, you will not like the JSAR on mesh either; the gap between the case and the mesh is even bigger than on the SINN.

At least it looks that way from the pics.

Anyway, the lugs on the JSAR are big (tall?) and might look out of proportion to the end of the mesh to some people.

Personally, I do not mind. I like the JSAR on mesh and almost any watch on the UTS wears great. I can certainly understand, why some WIS wear mesh

There's a nat's whisker between the Sinn case and it's adopted mesh 8)

Mind you, the gap, however slight, it is one of the things that limits the appeal to me. I prefer a straight end mesh against a straight case or hooded lugs :)

    It glows!

I was feeling like a Brave Soul and decided to give this combo a go. It transforms it completely :P

    Yikes!

Can not really say why, but that is not for me. And I have even seen some posted pics of the white strap before. Did Daddel not post a white SINN strap once...?

Maybe it is the contrast between the black case and the white strap.

    TAKE IT OFF!!

I may have to, the sun caught it a minute ago and the flash nearly blinded me

It's surprisingly refreshing, I am going to wear it for a day, or two
