Cheers,
Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale.
Only 18 built.
Franco Scaglione-designed body.
Race-derived aluminium 2 litre V8 producing 230 bhp. It has twin spark plugs per cylinder, 4 camshafts, revs to 10,000, and a 6 speed gearbox. And all this in 1967

Very tough question, but IMO a Ferrari 250 GTO.
For me... the upcoming Ferrari 458 Spider is just perfect. Just watch the roof in action:

Jensen Interceptor by name alone.
+1 on Bond's Aston
Motorcycle: Triumph Hurricane
Studebaker Avanti........
Indian Chief........
Easy.. Miura..
and the coolest car NEVER made... the Miura concept... (criminal that they didn't make it)
I agree with Miura for the car (although a 246 Dino runs it pretty close) & Ducati 916 for the bike.

Absolutely agree, with both. That concept ismstunning to see in the flesh too.Originally Posted by europa

The model was under development and had only featured in one race, although one or both had been used in practice for one or two races. Mercedes pulled out of racing at the end of the 1955 season as a result of the crash at that year's Le Mans, when an SLR went off the track killed over 80 people. Rudi Uhlenhaut was Mercedes' chief engineer for their racing program from the mid-1930s until 1955 and was actually faster than some of their drivers. He was a genius at setting up cars, and used one of the SLR Coupes as his daily driver. For that reason, and because it is the most beautiful car ever built, it's my nomination.

And how about a Triton for a bonus point
I had never seen one of these until I came across one in the Gallery of Modern Art in Munich a couple of weeks ago. The brief was obviously to design a European-style sports car and they came up with one of the most gorgeous looking sports coupes ever; a rival to anything coming out of Europe in the looks department.....and then ruined it with that god awful bug-eyed front end and hidden radiator. That Batmobile is cool, and I hanker after a 3.0 CSi or (if lucky) CSL. Rarer and cooler than a '70s Merc.
But for me it has to be one of these poster children:
(Not the be-winged '80s version, but the original LP400 from 1974. Cool, and also as mad as a brush.)
...but what do I know; I don't even like watches!
Jensen Interceptor FF. Oh how I wish I'd bought that one off my mate's dad. Unfortunately I couldn't stomach the 8mpg fuel consumption.

I remember all the stories in the press in the early seventies about puzzled owners of Porches Ferraries and Lambos being blown off the German autobhan by a huge very unaerodynamic Rolls Royce travelling at over 200mph! The press even carried (unsubstantiated) reports that the German Police had asked Rolls Royce not to test their new car on the autobahn. It would break the 70mph speed limit at 720rpm and idled at 120rpm! Dodd admitted to having problems with the flywheel becoming unstuck at speeds of way over 200 MPH. He overcame the transmission problems when he mated a GM Turbo 400 box to it. It was calculated that with the gearing it was capable of over 270mph. It was destroyed in a fire at Dodds workshop but as the engine and chassis survived he had a new estate car type body created for it. It ended in court in 1983 for Dodd as Rolls Royce weren't happy with him using their grill and spirit of ecstacy on the front of the car. Dodd lost the case and nothing much was heard again of the car or Dodd. The rumour was that he had decamped to Spain.
