Anyone have any idea about this? Basic sales job and then some kind of commission scale on top?
Cheers,
Simon
I run a photo agency and am looking at hiring someone freelance to come in a couple of days per week to find new customers and sell them photos and articles. What's the going rate for part-time unskilled office help? I'm thinking of paying a basic rate with commission on top, but have no idea of the kind of money to pay. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Problem with a commission based system is the person will have no secutiry. That's OK for someone who has no work now, but you won't entice anyone IN a job.
If they are gonna be trying to find new customers would you not be better with someone with a little sales past?
Some of the giv job centres advertise for free, unlike the recruitment agencies.
Still, a big decision to let someone else influence how your business operates etc - good luck!
Uk or Germany ?
If your a small business dont directly employ them get them on a self employed basis .
I'm in the UK (it's the Foxhole, a corner on the Nordschleife).
I already sell to a lot of magazines and newspapers abroad, just need someone to call up people. I'll be in the office too, so can watch over them. Have someone in mind who is ideal for the job. I think I'll meander down to the job centre and see what they think. Thanks for the suggestions!
