    Starting the Friday thread early...

...because I'm off to Finland for my brother's wedding tomorrow so probably won't get much of a chance to check in here before we leave.

Wearing this tomorrow and for the weekend away:

Unless of course my Airman Vintage V arrives in the post tomorrow, at which point I'll have a dilemma...

I'm going to have a full plate tomorrow, so I might as well join in. This is what I'm wearing now, and will be tomorrow.

Wow! If the bezel rotated I'd be ripping it off your wrist!

That is really nice. I like the colour of the lume on the hands too -- seems to jump away from the dial.

Wow, nice watches everyone. Yet another meeting today, so another "suit and tie watch".

It looks better in real life, because my pics are crap.

This was a bit of an impulse buy, since I have another watch which is similar in style and function. The wife complained that this one "looks the same" as the other. I might have to put the other on a strap :D

    Kind regards

A few weeks ago it was losing 2 - 3 minutes a week and wouldn't hold a power reserve. Fricker serviced it for me when I visited and 2 weeks later, without touching it since the service, it's running 9 seconds slow.

Can't help but noticing the way some tuck away the long end of the NATO strap backwards. Am I the only one who cuts the NATO strap to suit?

Yes. And SWNWSC[1] will be told, and, probably, they will withdraw permission for you to wear NATO straps.

Ooops ... seems like I've just been blacklisted by the SWNWSC.

    My defense:

    1. I find it uncomfortable to wear a standard 12 inch NATO strip on my puny 6.5 inch wrist on a daily basis, unless I am diving and have to wear my watch over a wetsuit.

    2. Out of a total of 8 NATO straps I have committed 'mutilating' crimes against only 2 of them.

I humbly await the verdict by the SWNWSC.

    Azimuth Bombardier in Prague

To my surprise, I recently found out that Azimuth Watch has an authorized dealer in Prague. And...

Pavel! It has the triangle pointing the right way, upwards :D That must be a new release? The old one pointed downwards :( Is the movement still a Fountainemelon ST 96-4?

    Congratulations and enjoy!

It's the Azimuth Bombardier III, a limited edition of 100 pieces. Mine is #23. There is also an AB II limited edition with crown on the left side.

The movement is AS Schild 1950. Accuracy is approx +3 sec/day.

Unlike the original Azimuth Bombardier, the AB III has blue-steel hands, which looks much better than black matte hands.

Luminosity is second to none, due to the generous use of Superluminova. Only PRS-11 shines that brightly, but it has much smaller dial.
