The Edinburgh ones had a rule of one watch only, otherwise expect a beating :)
Wondered how many watches people take? Never done one before and regarding practicality interested to know what other members do?

I only too about 4 or 5 watches to the only GTG I went to - but thankfully a few members brought cases full of watches which I got to have a good look at.
It's just a matter of time...
Edited accordingly - thanks!Originally Posted by learningtofly
Not encouraging people to bring lots of watches by the way, just never been to a GTG before and for any GTG virgins (like myself  ) interested to hear back from other members who have.

Where/when is the next one near London?
I've been to a couple of GTG in France and it really depends on who is gonna attend and how the GTV has been organized (eg dedicated to one specific brand or not)...
however, I would not buy more than 4-5 pieces...
someone - you know who you are - brought a case with about 50 in
Good luck everybody. Have a good one.
I usually take a selection of 6 to 8 from the collection to SWHES others bring just a few or many, it really doesn't matter but it is nice to see things that you would otherwise not get to see. :D
I usually just have one on each wrist, one around the neck of Rockie the Rottie on an extra long NATO and the rest in the bag with the sawn-off.
I haven't had any problems ;-)

First one I went to I took about 25, second one, 4 months later, my collection was down to about six... so I took, erm... 6 :D
Yep. The one on your wrist. It allows variation on subsequent GTGs.Originally Posted by GraniteQuarry

Soooo many variables, not least security, but I normally take about 6.
If you have lots of watches to drool over and post pics on WT, you will probably find that your next GTG is even better attended.
