I got my first non vintage today

At least my first new one after having more than one watch

My old Omega's got a brand new friend today
I was at an AD and tried a couple of watches. The main reason was to ask about service on my cal321 speedmaster, but I tested the railmaster, the black PO and a couple of others. Have been thinking, and wishing for one modern Omega as well

And ended up buying the one I have looked at for a while. Even my wife liked this one
Here is a a couple of first impression pictures

    Cheers Jon

that on a bracelet would be a watch which I would love to own.

    congrats and enjoy! :)

Beautiful watch, Jon. From the current range of Omega watches, that is the one I would also choose.

    Enjoy it.

    Cheers

Enjoy it, Jon! I like the colour contrast between the dial and the hands/markers.

    Best wishes,

Pretty damn near faultless. When Omega do good, they do really good. Congratulations on the watch -- wear it in good health and enjoy.

One of these was for sale here last year for about £700 or so. I would have bought it had I not just already bought a Seamaster GMT.

What is the lume quality like?

Is it merely the small rectagulars which do the job?

    .
Absolutely gorgeous! I just love those flat hands! ... and of course the colours mix rather beautifully. Nice strap too.

I was reading in QP today that Omega has transformed again as a credible challenge to Rolex ... and the co-ax had a lot to do with it. As it happens, I agree. Strapping the balance-wheel with a bridge (instead of a cock) cannot compete with the co-axial.

Thanks Neil. I wanted one modern one, but it would not become a habit to get them .
Next up, I hope is the black faced Geneve. I have a lead

And John, glad you liked this one without the dog-leg lugs :D
A close up of the hands for you
