Wow.
Once again this watch has been the subject of some cosmetic surgery :D .
This time it was the dial that was changed.
I liked the original but it did not really match the beadblasted finish.
Instead I opted for a MkII Plongeur dial (big surprise, huh? )
Here are a few pics of the result,
Lume is more than ok,
I am very pleased with the new look, and this time I really do think that I'm finished modifying this watch.
(or perhaps I should try sword hands instead, hmmm... )
Feel free to give me your verdict!

Impressive. Really.
Now, a green ...
smokin'!!!
Like it alot!

Very well done indeed. Black date wheel, new dial, new hands: all important details dealt with and improved. The watch they SHOULD have made!

Thanks for the feedback guys! :)
Hmmm, maybe I should replace the movement also....  :lol:Originally Posted by Sunnie

That's impressive, what an improvment :D
Was the dial a straight fit ? Dial feet/diameter etc
After a new movment what's next, crown ?
What a fantastic looking job. The original watch wasn?t bad to start with but after
all your alterations and improvements I don?t think I can ever see the original in
the same light again.
Don?t change the hands, it?s perfect as it is. Now, go wear it and put some miles on it.

THIN is the new BLACK
Fantastic!
Very well done indeed. :thumbright:
The black date wheel does it just right as well.
Cheers,

I had a watchmaker do the switch and I was not present during "operation".Originally Posted by KH2
But from what I understood the plongeur dial was just slightly (insignificantly) smaller than the original dial, so no problem.
Dial feet placement were according to 2824-2 spec.
Dont worry John, just kidding about the hands.Originally Posted by abraxas

Thanks Jacob, you are partly to "blame" for the dial change :).Originally Posted by watchless
It might be the first one, but from a few responses I've gotten so far I'm pretty sure there will be more to come in the not to distant future  .
