    Belstaff sizes?

    Leather Belstaff jackets are made in Italy, I believe, and the sizes are 'Italian'.

    So, to the point. I'm a fat 42". What size leather Belstaff should I order?
    L?
    XL?
    XXL?

    Re: Belstaff sizes?

    Definitely not an an L ! I am a 40 & have a (cloth) L & it is "fitted" sleeeves moreso than the body but cut & sizing is Italian so depends if want loose or fitted.

    I'm 6'2" about 95kg and wear a XXL Brad. I'm normally L or XL, brand dependent, but for comparison to an equally "Italian" sized maker I'm a 56 in Boglioli jackets, if you've tried one of them?

    They do come up very small/snug.
    I'm a M&S size large but need a Belstaff XXL if that helps for comparison?

    Me too - however I would say the sleeves are suited for people whose knuckles scrap along the floor - or that I have short arms (as well as long pockets) :D

    I'm a 44" chest and have a 'long' body and 'short' legs (5'8" tall on a good day) and i have a Belstaff Gold Series 'Sammy Miller' made in Italy. I initially had a Large and it was TINY! However, the XL fits a treat with a t-shirt or Micro-fleece under it. Anything else, i'd have to go up a size and get sleeves that are way too long.

    Thanks. However, they don't do a wide range.

    I'm 6'2'' and 15.5 Stone, visited their London store and not one jacket fitted.

    Gave up in disgust, it's not like I'm a giant :?

    I bought mine from John Lewis, may be worth a try at least to get a measure of sizes especially if will end up buying mail order as they certainly don't carry the greatest range.

    Re: Belstaff sizes?

    I go true to size in the belted jackets, and up one in the short jackets.

    s = 36
    m=38
    l=40
    xl = 42
    and so on

    Re: Belstaff sizes?

    In Manchester there is a Belstaff store, I'd imagine they are slightly harder to come by in Leicester, but I'm pretty certain there are a couple of places in Nottingham that do them.

    Re: Belstaff sizes?

    I just grabbed a minter and it is like new off Fleabay.

    It's a medium and it is just big enough. It is a 'fitted' belted Trophy / Trailmaster type.
    I am 5'10'' 13st and not big by any means.

    My Barbour International is L and it is perfect but fancied a beige biker type so hence the purchase.

    It is a great jacket and the quality superb, but may move it on so funds are there for a large.

    Good Luck

    Sorry to dig up an old thread.

    Anybody bought a fairly recent Quilted Belstaff Jacket?

    Im normally a XL in most things (around 43" chest). Im guessing I would require a XXL at the very least but unsure

    Appears Belstaff runs small (Italian size) but also the diff styles of Belstaff Jackets all vary in sizes too!

    Further to my earlier reply, I visited their west end store again earlier this year and not a single jacket they had in stock was large enough across the shoulders. I'm not huge at all - 6'2'' and 16 stone just average 'bloke who plays Rugby' size but they were comically small. No wonder I see Richard Hammond wearing their jackets on Top Gear, he probably wears an XL! - I've just given up on buying one now.

    Try Moto Legends same company and they have 3 pages of Belstaff jackets.

    For anyone raising this thread in the future. I'm 5'-6" 36" chest and 10 stone wet through. The Trialmaster I bought is a size small, and fits me perfectly. The Roadmaster I tried on fitted me like a glove and was Belstaff size 46 (small).

    didn't get the quilted myself, but have tried it on. I am a 44 inch chest, and normally an XL in M&S, but in anything Belstaff I am XXL

    They do seem to have gone to 52/54/56 which is much better & the one I tried on seemed to fit true to size in that I take a 52-54 and the 52 was very fitted but 54 was correct - the style is still fitted so they aren't generous but do seem to have got a lot better in terms of accuracy in the last few years.

    Crikey - I knew Belstaff sizing was erratic but this is absolute madness lol

    Before Xmas I tried on the Belstaff Bramley quilted racer in size 54 and 56 (John Lewis) whilst back over and I was shocked both was a tad too snug across the chest. I wasn't going to splash out on JL prices anyhow so sourced a whopping size 58 on the internet which is a tad too big but wearable. Now according to Belstaff website size 58 is a XXXXL (I presumed it was a XXL)

    Now I'm not a fat bugger as my last jacket purchase was a Levis Menlo Leather jacket in size L which fits perfect!!!

    Anyhow I fancied the H-Racer and took my chance sizing down to a 56 (bearing in mind its a racer like my size 58, same make etc). Turned up yesterday and its like a tent on me, so much in fact I think a size 54 would also be too big hence now ordered a 52!!!!

    Belstaff 58 Bramley
    Belstaff 52 H Racer

    Absolutely crazy. Im not a fat bugger honest!! The joys of internet shopping!!!!!!!!!

    The Belstaff sizing guide on their website seems to be the same across the whole range which is obviously bull...

    Under no circumstances guess what might fit you with Belstaff!

    I have a Panther in large and a Cougar in XXL; both fit, the Cougar is in fact quite a bit smaller. It;s very annoying when trying to buy online and I don't even try anymore.

    Why is this in 'watch talk'?

    Belstaff sizing is all over the place. Try on if you can or if not get measurements. I have three types of Belstaff and have two different sizes with three different fits. My Knockhill Small is a larger fit than my other two Large. Using what the label says as a reference is useless.

    Just bought a waxed cotton Racemaster, to fit in the armpit and across my shoulders I had to go 56 XXXL !!!
    I'm usually an XL in Sergio Tacchini / Fila, and only an L in jumpers.

    My Baractua G9 is a 46 XXL.

    Italian sizing is all over the place, all I'd suggest is, if you can, try one on.
    Although a faff Belstaff do offer free returns and 90 trial.
