Needle point pliers. Push hard to expose enough to grip with pliers and pull hard.
Ok, bought this to go on my newly acquired Kemmner Octopus.
i get the whole cut to size thing BUT, can anyone shed light on the best way to push the metal bars out so i can put the spring bars in?

I used one of these:- http://thumbs1.ebaystatic.com/m/m-rlt_u ... lQ/140.jpg
Then when enough of the bar you want to remove is sticking out the other end, grab firmly with a pair if pliers and pull it out.

Be careful!
When I was sizing mine I slipped when pushing out one of the metal bars and managed to split the rubber about halfway.
Luckily for me I had to remove one more piece, and was very careful with the last piece and did not split it.
As already advised - fine-nosed pliers is the best tool I found.
No doubt this is total b*ll*cks to anyone who has not done this - those that have will understand.
Cheers,
Ian.
Thanks guys :)
Sorry about the multi posts..
Not quite sure how that happened... :?
Pics of end result :D
This combo is shamelessly copied off a watchuseek member I love it tho!! :D
Wearing my Sinn U1 on the rubber, and it does look damn good! That clasp is a masterpiece.
Wearing my Sinn u2 on original rubber, the best strap for this watch.
One thing very annoying about these perfect masterpiece clasp...at some clasps a gap of half a mm exist when the clasp is closed, other don't have it. Also new ones do have it.
According to Sinn the metal bars in the strap are only there for producing the strap and should be removed while wearing.
I found out the strap will carry the watch somewhat more when the bars are installed.
Ok, I beadblasted them to match the colour of the watchcase.
Great result, and agree that the Sinn Rubber is pretty much THE BEST rubber strap out there... used to wear my old Dreadnought on one
That looks ace! 8)
Very pleased with the strap, very comfy and balances the kemmner well with it being such a big thing :)
Changed the pieces round so the logo is on the outside as didn't want to look at it all the while :)
My strap is sized the same as yours, 1 bar left one side, 2 on the other :)
