Hi lads, I was surfing through a local Buy/Sell type website when I came across this speedmaster which took my fancy, but I am a little put off by the presentation box and papers etc.
I am only basing this on my recent purchase of a seamaster that came with hard plastic warranty cards, a phone book sized instruction manual, and a very attractive red presentation case.
So my question is ....Does this look real ? , do Omega also do a dodgy blue case with a leaflet for instructions and a paper looking warranty card....( watch is claiming to be 2008)
Opinions welcome....

If its from 2008 it doesn't look right.. though Omega do do special presentation boxes for some models - the warranty cards are usually standard and the instruction manual the hefty complete hardback
“ Ford... you're turning into a penguin. Stop it.” HHGTTG
That's a pukka Omega presentation box, booklet and warranty card.... but from the 1990's.
Certainly a lot earlier than 2008, defo!
:)
Pukka ?????
is that a series ?
Cheers for the heads up lads...
Sorry, watched too many Jamie Oliver cookery shows on the telly over Christmas....
It's a genuine Omega box, booklet and warranty card...
:D
I concur with Mike W. on it being 100% AUTHENTIC OMEGA, the aspect that you need to understand is that box is NOT from 2008 original factory issued stock - meaning it was produced for Omega watches of an earlier era, hence b/p NOT original to the specific watch - but that is not a big deal if you are going to wear the watch and not particularly buying it as a collectible.Originally Posted by Mike Wood

I`ve had a fake box in that style recently.
Definitely a 90s box; not sure how you tell the age of the watch with modern Omega numbers. If you post the first 4 digits of the serial no. someone may be able to help by comparing to a watch of known age. I have a Sept 2004 Speedy reduced I`ve owned from new and it's 5868----
Hope this helps

definitely 90's Omega accoutrements - this is the full kit for my 1993 pre-Bond (plus a few extras from a Bienne re-furb):
Real omega box but like the card, they probably correspond to an older watch. The owner probably lost the box and cards and bought another
