This was on ebay recently - what do you think?

Looks real ... but who knows these days. Parts of it appear to have been refinished. But I?d take a jump and say it?s real ... from then on it?s up to you, if you think it?s worth that sort of money and if you are into these types of watches. If you are into them already, you would know (more than me) what kind of questions to ask.

Personally, I would first want to know where he got it, from.

Well the sale is long over, but I did early on contact the seller with some questions - I had no reply 8)

I genuinely was wondering what people here thought, as it looks convincing to my untutored eye.

My instinct, reinforced by lack of response from the seller, made me hold back - as did the advice everywhere on the web that these are very commonly faked.

I feel sorry for the buyer if he has a fake - on the other hand, if real, he has a bargain :?

Absolutely, if the seller is not prepared to communicate ... then it's not worth taking the risk. Unless you are a gambler, and we all know about them. Some go up, but most go down. And the casino ... oops ... ebay always wins.
