Lovely Tuna collections. I've had a couple variations but eventually moved them on. Always seem to want another, Hough.

Love them. Already posted these in another thread, but can't help but join here too.

    This SBDB009 is just superb.

^ very nice. How does the size compare to the sbbn015?

It's quite different on the wrist. The shroud is a bit wider, but lug to lug is roughly the same, so it doesn't overpower the wrist. The main difference is that it's quite a bit thicker, but it hugs the wrist more. On the silicone strap the SBDB009 is very comfortable, and due to being titanium, it's light.

I've had a Darth, a blue Darth, an 017 and an 015, all flipped, all with some degree of regret.

Just picked up another 015 which for me is the pick of the Quartz versions, at least. Which makes it the pick of the lot at Plake towers.

Adding some pics of my pair.
    JDM 7549-7000 and a 7549-7009

The 7009 is a bit of a project at the moment to revive from the dead.
Cosmetically its nice, but needs more investigation, since i tried swapping coils/circuits from a working movement and its still as dead as a dodo :(

    7549-7000

and one with the two together.

Arrived yesterday - OK, so it's not the SBBN0015 Marine Master I wanted, it's a modified 007; red seconds hand, sapphire crystal, black bezel insert. Love it, I have the old silver bezel insert but when I offered it up I realised how much better the black one looks to my eyes!! Shame it looks so good on the bracelet as it will have to go on the rubber strap to fulfill its role as a 'beater' and replace my Monster and Mini-Tuna.

    ^ noice.

I'm still tuna less at the moment but there may be a couple of things on the horizon.

Ok, so it's not technically a "real" Tuna, but the new Prospex Tuna Monster is just fab!

After many years of lusting after a Tuna, I'm now in the second week of enjoying my new SBBN015, ordered direct from Higuchi San. Paul's snaps being the final catalyst for obtaining one. Importing new, brings the inevitable VAT and handling charges but as this one is going nowhere, over time that'll count for less and less.

It's a large watch, especially after wearing my Explorer but it's very comfortable even on the hefty bracelet. Come pay day I'll splash out on a couple of straps, possibly an Isofrane and maybe a NATO. The lume is stupendous, the crown smooth to use and the bezel's accuracy and smoothness is up there with my Sub's. The tuna won't be an every day watch but it will be my every weekend and holiday watch - one happy chappy here!

The tuna was accompanied by a card made by Higuchi's staff, together with a couple of origami cranes.

Just ordered a Black 22mm Isofrane with DLC buckle from watch Obsession, i'll post a picture as soon as it arrives! (Hopefully tomorrow.) ;)

    Great watch!
I have a 22 mm isofrane with black buckle on my 7549-7009.

Sadly pretty difficult to appreciate the band on my only pic of the combo

It is however imo a great match and the most comfortable big diver's watch I've ever worn.

    More pics:

    Other sold Tunas.

Love that scubapro - had the chance to buy one a couple of years ago, dithered, lost it.

Mariod - That is one of the most excessive, single-minded, proud and gobsmackingly bonkers collections I have ever seen - and I'm jealous.

How very special - the card I mean, genuinely inspirational.

Several times my finger has hovered over a Tuna button. It was always indecisiveness between a SBBN015/017 which stopped me - that and its hideous proportions. I'll probably regret not owning one - maybe I'll wait until the bonkers thunderbolt strikes again.

Nah the 0015 above is near as perfect as your going to get. Without the standard hands and messing with the dial it loses its charm for me.
I think sometimes you have to just say ...its as good as it gets.
