    I'm Straight again

Well as much as they could do - and saying straight means bodily so no wise cracks :D

Had new moulded seat fitted yesterday, so more comfy again Plus I am sat up better, even if it doesn't show in the photo.

Sorry Paul - if I'd realised they were Metallica I'd have praised them. Just re-discovered Guns N Roses too, my favourite from my youth. Metallica were up there too though. Exit light :headbang:

Nice ST shirt - is it vintage? I have most of their albums and they are in my all time top 10 bands.

Saw them at Clash of the Titans in Wembley many years ago with Testament, Anthrax and Slayer (I think)

New album out this year apparently - which means they might make a few UK appearances hopefully. They are playing one of the smaller stages at Donington this year too

I saw them live in the 80's when Rob Trujillo was with them and they were all nutty skater types. Mike Muir is looking F A T nowadays but I bet they can still whip up a storm.

    Hi Paul

That is good news, hope there was not too much discomfort in the process. The title of the thread brought back memories of one of my favourite performers:

Doubt they will but hoping they play somewhere nearer me in Leeds. Sheffield even Manchester would do.

That looks cool, you look midline. Is it a carved foam or a MSI ? It does not look like a Matrix ( which is what I use to make custom moulded seat's ).

    :)

It's carved foam AFAIK. What are the differences? I have an electric cushion for pressure relief, & the guy trimmed the chair with an elecrtic carving knife to make cushion sit snug.

I thought it was, it looks good.

There are a lot of difference's between all of the systems. Each have there own individual advantages and disadvantages when they are all compared against each other, however there is not one seating system that does it all and is suitable for use with everyone,

Hence when someone is assessed for a custom seating system, all the needs and requirements of the user are taken in to consideration and then used to select the best system to meet their own individual needs.

Carved foam is very good in my opinion in certain seating solutions, and when incorporating a electric air flow cushion it is one of the best. Foam is a comfortable medium, easy to accommodate complex shape's, however in some applications it can be a bit warm for people who have a problem regulating there own heat and the systems can be quite bulky in size.

The system I use (Matrix) was the original custom moulded seating system which featured repeating and interlocking modules to create a cold contoured plastic material, which can be live cast direct to the user to make a individual seat to support and accommodate or add correction to people who have complex posture needs. It is very adjustable, which allow's changes to be made to the original seat to accommodate for growth and posture change quickly at the same appointment where the need for adjustment is identified.
This is ideal with young people who can change quickly and would need a lot of seat's made by other processes that are able to be so adjusted in the same way,it also has good airflow due to the construction of the material. You get a foam lined seat cover to go over the entire system in a wide range of colours that the user can choose and customise.

It is a highly rewarding when you are able to provide support and comfort to someone and in a small way help to improve their Quality of life, that is why I enjoy working in my Job.

    :)

    Thanks for that - interesting.

As you say different people have different conditions. I have a double spine curvature, & my shoulders come forward a bit when not suppoerted. I'm led to believe it's called Kyphoscholiosis.

So the therapists at my place must have decided this seat type was best for me.

    No problem, :)

    Yes that is called.

I make seats for people with the same condition, however although I have never met you in person, I think a Foam Carve maybe the most comfortable seat for you, so yes the seating thearpists have chosen the best seat for you in my opinion.

I love the idea of that; I would never have thought of it but it's the obvious tool.

Glad that you're all straightened out.
