Thread: Any New Quartz Divers Planned Eddie? PRS3Q Please

The Scurfa is probably as close as you can get to this now. It doesn't look as good but is similar spec and VFM.

Sorry Bonzo that Scurfa is horrible.

I think the reason Eddie probably used Superluminova C3 for the Broad Arrow dials was for function, it has the best glow by a country mile!

The dial lume on the Broadarrow PRS3 was never that great on the examples i had. The latest luminova CWCs are significantly better.

My Broadarrow PRS3 glows like a torch. Very slightly less than my PRS-82 but it's older and there's maybe a little less lume? Not much in it though.

I do like the way old Tritium CWCs have aged though, lovely vanilla colour. Not that they actually *glow* as well, mind, it's one or the other. Hence the brilliant compromise of the '82 - "aged" lume that isn't as dim as decayed Trit.

Annual bump for a quartz diver with date.

Can't believe I started this almost six years ago.

Seconding much of what proceeds here. I like quartz. Have a rotation of 5, no autos. Love the convenience, accuracy, durability but it's hard to find/get what I like. I'd like any of the below with quartz.
    PRS-3 sized like Broadarrow
    PRS-17Q
    PRS-18Q finely brushed finish
    PRS 300 as a quartz
    PRS-3LE black @ 40mm
No Date needed since I can't stand wearing my glasses so I can't see it anyway. Looks better w/o I think too. Less clutter the better.

It's high time the PRS-3Q made a comeback. I'd rather get one of Eddie's fine pieces than a CWC...

It's 20 mm, btw. Just found this thread again. Still have my PRS-4 (the black pvd version of the PRS-3Q, it actually says PRS-3 on the bottom), on my wrist every day. With shoulderless spring bars retrofitted. On a Nato. It lives a rough life, has some wabi, but only looks better with it.
    :-)
