Cmon Eddie is this a goer for this year? Please tell me so I don't go throwing money away at silvermans or ebay. For the love of god man ...... This place is the grand central of mystery and suspense!
Me too. Here's hoping it returns before this thread reaches two years old.Originally Posted by bond

I want it back too!!!!
I still have mine. PRS-4 black case/black dial, on a black NATO with black buckle, on my wrist now. Some things you buy and keep. Later you find out that production has halted and only 75 or so of that version exist on the planet (not counting the under-the-counter Zenos). :D :POriginally Posted by bond

Time to bump this up again for all those still hopeful of the return of the PRS3 quartz.
This is dependent on certain commercial factors which I am unable to divulge at this time.

Whole chunks of my life come under the heading "it seemed like a good idea at the time".
Does that mean that the whole project is at risk Eddie, or just the timescale?Originally Posted by swanbourne

I'm thinking of a dive mission timer, more or less a prs-18 chrono with only the center dial hands on it
yep :bounce: pvd,d please 8) :bounce: :bounce:Originally Posted by bonzo697

Exactly.I'm trying to keep this post relevant to my almost two year campaign to bring back the standard PRS3Q, rather than complicate it with PVD, chrono, different colours etc.Originally Posted by Timelord
Yes, standard PRS3Q. That's the one for me.Originally Posted by bonzo697

Nor me, although I'm currently looking for a CWC as a contingency.Originally Posted by SternG

I agree, but unfortunately there's no alternative. Ray Wong makes something but it's not a serious option.Originally Posted by SternG
In use their NATO straps are peerless. Not pretty, not soft but they don't expand in the heat or when they get wet and the "lump" doesn't get in the way.Originally Posted by SternG

I've had the prototypes on my desk for at least 3 months.

I don't know what name to put on the dial.

Precista would do me, but I'd be happy with Smiths too.
Are you looking to add another brand name to the Time Factors stable?Originally Posted by swanbourne
Might be looking to add a couple and get rid of one or two.Originally Posted by MrLion

Why not your own brand?Originally Posted by swanbourne
Get "TimeFactors" on the dial and be done with it...

Forget PVD. Eddie can't decide what to call it yet!Originally Posted by SternG
I'm a big fan of sterile dials. (Sterile everything tbh)
I'm pretty sure that i'm not alone here and that there would be a very strong market for a high quality sterile diver.
But then i understand sterile is not very good for marketing.
I dont agree. I think sterile dial is the main reason prs22 is such a hit. But lack of identity can also be a deal breaker. Stealthing it ala kemmner/ everest in prs25 is the answer imo.Originally Posted by senraw

You can't beat a PRS3 original :)
Not sure how long they have been out of production but I aquired this one recently and its mint!
Over the years I must have had 4 of these, and always let them go. This one will definately be a keeper
Redmonaco - now that is nice. No wonder you're intending to keep it.
May be tempted myself.
Cheers
Made the foolish mistake of letting my PRS-3Q go last year. I really miss it so much.
Don't you think it was about time to bring it back in a new edition, Eddie???
This time around it could be made perfect with an upgraded, easier to use screwdown-crown.
Pretty please with sugar on top! :albino:

Alright, I'll continue to bump this thread mercilessly until the PRS3Q is back. :diabloanifire:

Now that would be downright cruel. You know it's just the anguish of despair speaking. :sad5: :sad2:
He speaks how we all feel, cmon Eddie help us out. Dont send us to silvermans to buy the recently stocked cwc quartz. I dont want the downgrade version with mineral glass....not for their new recession proof price (sarcasm). Your sending people into the hands of silvermans yes thats what ur doing.....
A quick photo to remind people what they are missing.
This one is a beauty.
---- And it's all mine.
I vote for the identical watch to the Broadarrow PRS3 but with Smiths on it same size font as the 'Broadarrow' (except with the bezel turned round properly LOL)
Fabulous watch to own
Rod
Keep rubbing it in, fellas.
Yes, please! But let's not forget about an improved crown. The only flaw I could find with the old PRS-3Q was the fiddly crown with its short tube.identical watch to the Broadarrow PRS3 but with Smiths on it same size font as the 'Broadarrow'
Found it difficult to screw down and it didn't really inspire confidence in the longevity of the assembly. I'm probably not the only one who felt this way.
Ok Eddie, having just watched Jessica Ennis win, how about just putting Sheffield on the dial, and 2012 somewhere subtly on the back??!
Nothing that would require a team of lawyers to give it the go-ahead, but wouldn't it be nice to commemorate such a great event? (and maybe we can get a new quartz diver!)
Although I'm no longer interested, I'll give this its (slightly late) annual bump.
