So the PRS-33 number might be allocated.
While still awaiting the DN super Quartz (PRS-24)/ and the possibility of another 18Q re-issue.

    So many choices.

That's a bit harsh, some people would know what a filename was if it came up and stole their watch.

I have always the itch for a Heuer 1000 divers, from my windsurfing days in the 1980's.

On Reeny's 50th Birthday wish list for 2013 would be:
    - Some exotic metal (Bronze or copper coloured - even good old PVD)
    - No heavier than the PRS-3.
    - Big Plonker hands so I can see it well into my old age.

Something with in established diver style - but super special.
I think I need to wait for the DN super Quartz (PRS-24 on the virtual museum)
Happy to press the button when the right one arrives.

It appears that Zeno has made up a few more of the Broadarrow PRS-3 and they're being knocked out through Swiss and German forums  .

If that's how they want to play it, maybe it would be a good idea to ignore them and have new cases made elsewhere

Re: Any New Quartz Divers Planned Eddie?

Based on your assessment of the level of interest shown thus far in the PRS-33, would it be viable to produce a batch with new cases, Eddie? You can put me down for one, for sure.

But then you might as well stick a quartz in the current PRS3 case, one of the main attractions to this project was that it was going to be the old Broadarrow case, which I like and have wanted for a while but actually getting hold of one of those is quite difficult. Really underhand from Zeno to admit to still having cases left over and offer them to Eddie and then go and assemble broadarrow's from the cases himself.

All I'm saying is that there's probably nothing magical about the old Zeno cases :D

I'm sure there are other manufacturers who can produce cases identical to the old Broadarrow ones.

The current PRS-3 cases are far superior to the old Zeno ones.

The great thing I found about the Broadarrow case was that it was so slim for a 300m diver.

Another reason why I want that case and not the new case for a quartz, new PRS3 is a wonderful case and I really enjoy my orange LE but it is pretty big and for me the quartz would be a grab and go watch and for me that means a smaller lighter watch on a nato.

    Ditto,
The only new watch I need now is a WR quartz to wear to work on the motorbike.
A slimline diver would be ideal.

Re: Any New Quartz Divers Planned Eddie?

As the orignal poster of this thread I would advise anyone waiting for the quartz to try the current PRS3 auto. Mine's now my daily wearer and since having it regulated runs very close to quartz accuracy too.

Got one already, for holidays and occasional wear.
    Highly recommended.
Yet a quartz beater will do very nicely as well thank you.

I believe the original PRS-3 case size, weight, and height might be a tad smaller on the wrist.
All in all, with plonker hands for my middle aged eye sight, it's got to be top of the list.
    At the moment.

Not sure how far we are down the road with this but the upgrade i would love to see over the original is an independent hour hand like the they have in the Omega quartz models. I suspect that the feature is protected by some sort of patent because i've never seen it in another quartz, if it isn't it would make this watch absolutely perfect.

Eddie did this on the PRS-17C so I assume he could arrange for it to be done on a time-only movement [legally, I mean, no idea about technically

Can't believe it was a year since I originally posted this and I'm guessing it's probably unlikely to happen now. A year ago I would have been disappointed by this, but my tastes have now completely changed and rather than obsessing over quartz accuracy and date wheels, I've now progressed via a PRS3 auto to a PRS5. No date and not sure how accurate it is, but the pleasure of winding and hearing it tick each day more than compensates for this.
If a PRS3Q ever does appear I'm sure I'd still be tempted, but won't lose any sleep if it doesn't.

I've managed to regulate my PRS-5 to within chronometer specs. I wind it daily and then at night leave it dial up to gain time or crown up to lose time - in the last two weeks it's kept to within a few seconds a day. Currently running exactly to time and I haven't adjusted the hands at all during this time. I had been struggling with the reality that this is my only remaining chronograph....but now coming to the thought that I really don't need any others!

The PRS18Q came with a Nato
The original PRS-3 came with a Nato (The bracelet was an optional extra)
And the current PRS-3 will take any 22mm strap.

Thanks for the info - it was before my time.
My second hand PRS-4 came on a Nato - so I mistakenly assumed it was sold that way

The Rhino would tend be a little chunky for the slimline elegance of the PRS-3 / and PRS-4.
    Cheers

    Bracelets have their uses.
I got this one for the PRS-4 yesterday (it came from Hong Kong with a free watch)

Using the measure twice / cut once methodology.
It only took me 5-hours of gentle filing to make it fit.

I have loads of tool watches - so this will be a special dress watch for me.
I'm a happy chappie today :thumbright:

It's taken about a month of different overnight positioning, but mine is now within 3 seconds a day too.
