Yeh I do but thats not what put me off. We need a larger car but the D4 is just too high and bulky for the wife, I'm not saying the Audi is small but it's just a lot lower to the ground.
Audi is cheaper than a later D4 with regards to running costs, tax etc so the Audi was a no brainier really.
If it was just me then I might of opted for a later D4 though.

They are great cars Kirk but I'm under no illusion that my wife wears the trousers.
Added to the fact she's told me to agree with her!

Fair enough with the SLS, other than the noise the 911 is a better car in pretty much every way. Was in the final 2 for my last car choice and I often wonder if I made the right choice!

    That is well nice.
More of a dry day outing car and not a nipping to the shops squeezing into a parking bay kind

Cannot argue with the SLS but! This is the best one! I did not own one but a friend did and I had the pleasure to drive it. Stunning motor.

Okay ... on the first click of this thread, a Porsche 911 stares me right in the face ... so I don't have the heart anymore to say that I drive a Skoda

But in fact we have a Skoda Octavia wagon, and a Skoda Citigo ... both very practical and reliable cars.

For fun I take my motorbike

Nothing at all wrong with a Skoda Octavia, love the VRS, great motors.

Now if we go back a few years a mate of mine had a Skoda rapid in Burgundy, now that was a pulling machine !!!!!!!!!

Thanks....long story car was originally ordered as a 325i se as the sport was not available during the changeover period between models, then the revised sport model appeared and the original owner took it back to bmw and asked for the sport conversion....so technically not a sport but exactly the same as and all done at bmw..

    Great car!

I drove my e30 323i auto to work today. It’s a 50 mile round trip and it never misses a beat.

Along with the Mk2 Golf (I’ve had 4) the e30 is one of the most well-built and practical classics going. Yours looks minty.

I used to have an estoril blue BMW (one of eleven)!

I took the Mrs car to touchwood and I did pop into FH.

Oh, I have the heated mirrors too, bet you don't have the rattling gearbox though

Thanks I had a 323i years ago loved it...may drive the car to work today but I'll be finishing late and I'm a bit paranoid they will salt the roads as it's so cold all part of the classic car fun!!

I've got a BMW 335i E92 manual for daily duties and a VX220 SC for the weekend/track days.

Realised I'd owned the VX for 8 years the other day! Longest I've owned any car ever!

I'm a big fan of these, quite a special 'unknown' car. Don't see many of them around and sure to be a bit of a future desirable car.

Same, had my VXT for 6 years October gone, not bad considering the intention was to buy it, tart it up and flog it after 6 months.

    Thank you.

My wife's not a massive fan sadly (not as comfy or practical as her Golf). I suspect I will keep it for a number of years though so she'll have to get over it!

Love these Quattro Sports. I bought a mark 1 Audi TT as a fun car last year as i wanted something with rear seats. On the TT forum i since found out that the QS simply has a rear seat delete and one of the guys on the forum has put the rear seats back in! I’d love a QS........

Chopped in my Disco last month for a Disco Sport HSE black. Happy with it so far, very well specced and much cheaper to run. I do miss the air suspension a bit and the massive load lugging capability but that's about it. Already have two other gas guzzlers so decided I need something a bit more sensible.

    Still have these two

Recently received my latest Scirocco R.

Absolutely love it. I know it's not "as good" as a Golf R, but it feels so much more special to drive.

Not on a par with some of the wheels on this thread - but currently (and for the last 4 years) driving a Nissan Juke.
Nismo spec, 4x4, with the odd cvt box.
Has proven a comfortable place to sit, and wakes up if you push on a bit.

I’ve got a 2012 Honda Civic with a button to switch off the start stop, a 2006 Honda Accord 2.4 auto with a lockable glove box and best till last..a 1996 Toyota Granvia camper van with beer fridge, pee bottle and fluffy hand made snow leopard seat covers…do I win ?

The other Defender I posted above fell through after I was messed about by the dealer so I requested my deposit to be returned and tracked down a slightly newer example. I've had it 3 weeks, started off as a completely standard 2.2 Defender 90 and now has been remapped from 122bhp to 183bhp by JE Engineering, fitted with 285 section Mud Terrain BF Goodrich tyres, changed the steering wheel to one that means you don't have to have your elbow out the window to turn it and fitted a pair of heated Corbeau bucket seats.

It's pretty agricultural but I wanted one of the last of these Defenders and as it's only a 4th car I won't be piling the miles on. Great for snow and will be used for towing a track toy.
