Not sure - it was an E92 competition pack. I liked it at the time, although you had to rev it for any real power (an F10 530d felt faster off the mark!). The Evora was nicer. The Evora S even more so!

Ok. Ta. I won’t have the budget to jump back in to an Evora s sr or 400 and wouldn’t want to go for a different Evora model. The e92 can gently modified to produce another 30hp and 30 torque across the Rev range which will help with the torque issue a touch. I’m also hopeint that it won’t lose much money being a v8 and a sought after car if you buy sensibly.

FYI, the BMW M3 Competition pack includes a slightly modified version of EDCm

Just added another car, which I picked up yesterday.

    A MK1 Golf GTI Cabrio:

Needs a bit (a lot) of work, but is in pretty solid condition overall.

Nice. I still love the shape of these. I had a mk2 cl as my first car. Love the mk1 still.

Thanks. My 10 year old daughter, on the other hand, is not so keen... she described as looking "old and rubbish". I asked her if I could pick her up from school in it, and the answer was a definite "no". I think it may become her new default school transportation!

Looks nice, I had a 1985-B reg black one in about 1984.

Needs those horrid wheels to go bye-bye!!!

As a matter of interest , how much did it cost (if you don’t mind me asking?)

I completely agree - on the hunt from some original BBS wheels, but there are plenty of other jobs that need doing in the mean time!

It was surprisingly cheap, actually... it's far from a mint/original example and has a few easy-diy-fix faults, but it's a low mileage / low owner car with an MOT... and I was able to drive it home for 5+ hours yesterday (so it can't be that bad)... I paid £2.5k

Well the old Mondeo has been sold to a nice man off eBay and I now have a Mercedes CLK320 v6.
It was good value (I think) at £3000, only time will tell if it was a wise choice or not.

Currently rocking a brand new 320d M Sport touring auto in Estoril Blue with black leather interior. The ride is rock hard but I'm liking it so far.

Very nice RS5, I’ve only seen a couple on the road so far and while Nardo isn’t my favourite colour it still looks good.

I was having a nose around one when ordering the other half’s new RS3 and asked whether they might bring out the RS5 sportback

    Cheers lads.

It’s got black leather with red stitching.

pano roof, sports exhaust, hud, carbon pack to name a few options.

Bought something deeply silly but I do love a V8. This has complete history and 28000 miles. It does shift for a big girl and sounds awesome.

Are the alloys right and left sided, by which I mean directional?

Thanks, not actually driven it yet. Drove 2 hours to the LR dealer to find that there’s a slight rattle coming from the clutch (a spring they say) so it’s having a whole new clutch. Car is on 20,000 miles and will possibly be something I keep for a long time.

May be so, but start it up (especially in the garage) it sounds fast stood still !
And if you have neighbors not a good idea setting off anywhere too early (especially if you get on!)

I think this thread really typifies how cool this forum is.

There are people showing of genuine supercars, budget rag tops and everything in between.

No envy, no snobbery, just mutual appreciation.

    TZ rocks!

Yeah, i think the post this replies to kind of misses the point.

Owning a sports/supercar is special even at low speeds.

Quick saloons might be faster, but a responsive, taut car feels exciting even at low speeds in a way they can't replicate.

I seem to recall you work for or with JLR products - didn't you fancy one?
