Not my car however it's mine to use for the next few weeks, a C300 Coupe.

What is it with the single stalk on the left side of the column for indicators, wipers and full beam? I know it's a Mercedes thing however with the cruise control / speed limiter stalk also on the left I managed to flash half a dozen other drivers last night when all I wanted to do was use the cc I'll get used to it...

I find the single stalk really easy but I’ve been driving Mercedes for the last ten years so I’m used to it. What I have found awkward however, is that they’ve recently swapped the positions of the lights/indicator stalk and the cruise control stalk. Now that is taking some getting used to!

Just picked this Z4 up for my wife but I think I’ll be using it too. It’s surprisingly good fun and has that old school sports car feel about it.

Treated the winter wheels and wing mirrors to some gloss black as I was getting a bit bored with it. Quite pleased with the look and disguises the fact I’ve dropped down from 20” to 18” for the winter.

The quality of the new recruits is clearly lacking...

Next up, and in an attempt to redeem this behaviour, we have the mighty C5 RS6!

I have a question - why can't they have made them with more legroom for us taller gentlemen!

Love the 993 but the 997 was the first gen that felt like I could actually sit in a degree of comfort. Bit like Ferraris pre 360.

    What do you drive?

Well, unfortunately, not this anymore......after nearly 3 years in my hands, the 335d was driven away by a thoroughly nice bloke from Banbury. I hope he has as much enjoyment as I did. It will be missed........now the next question is what to replace it with? In the short term, it will be London Overground (passenger) services!

I'm a car enthusiast and love a bit of value for money

So I have a Vauxhall Astra SRi Turbo 200 (now with steel winter wheels and winter tyres on it)

A Mercedes ML that my grandad gave me free when he bought a new Range Rover. I don't have a picture but it looks like this:

And with a friend a Vauxhall Omega 2.5 manual which is becoming a budget drift car

    EDIT TO ADD:

Also an Audi A4 Ultra company car. But it looks like that bored me so much that I forgot to mention it

What sort of mpg are you getting? I’m thinking of moving to a Velar next year from my 520d. HSE spec looks great but for my budget it would be the d180 or the low bhp petrol engine..
Also tempted by the new Evoque as the insides look the same but I’m nervous that the ride will be twitchy due to the short wheelbase..

Just replaced my M135i with this X4 M40i, styles marmite I know but I love it plus it’s loaded with new tech.

I had a 1.6 turbo for a while. I got a lot of abuse for it but i really liked it.....right up until it exploded on the motorway. Great value for money. Thankfully the 2.0 is (apparently) bomb proof in comparison.

Tony at Berry BMW (TRLdeals) was an absolute legend!

Few tweeks in the pipeline but so far very impressed with it, I know the style isn’t to everyone’s taste but there is always the X3 version, waiting to see how the X4M is received so might not be keeping as long as first planned but we’ll see.

    Not bad at all.

The only big expense is a clutch and that last from 40-60k. Clutch itself is cheap but you need to take the engine out to do it. Think £2.5k. Other than that the oily bits are pretty bomb proof as they are all Toyota camry spec. Rear tyres last 10-12k and the fronts get old and crack before they wear out. It's light on brakes too.

I ran a vx220 for 90k and the evora needs much less fettling. Mot only needed a track rod end last year.

Clutch was a bit of a shock but the depreciation has been minimal and that's offset things.

Clutch aside I've only needed to go to my specialist twice outside of an annual service in 25k and 4.5 years. Once was a loose undertray that was fixed in ten mins. The other was an air con failure which turned out to be a compressor. Not massively unusual but doesn't affect every car. And it's a rav4 part.

Not bad for a 8 year old lotus with 55k on the clock. Really can't speak highly enough of them.

Only reason I'm selling is that we've gone to two cars and I can't fit a bike in it. Which is quite annoying for my wife as I then steal her car every weekend :D

Not an mpv but fine for kids. I've even fitted the Mrs donkey in the back. She didn't really enjoy the experience tho! (and she's only 5' 2)
