Dirty Harry :D Cold blooded and a 357 Magnum.
In the real world - has to be Pol Pot and his year zero idea - now hopefully roasting in hell.
Very strange thread this :(

Whoever does not know how to hit the nail on the head should be asked not to hit it at all.
Friedrich Nietzsche
Doc McCoy in Jim Thompson's 'The Getaway' - a cool casual killer :D
Tony Blair and George Bush would be my joint favourite as well....
Does it and no one ever questions the dictator....
Then becomes a peace envoy, classic.
I don't think this is such a strange topic, books about serial killers sell well. I like the police side of the story, the frustration, the way they are eventually hunted down and caught.
Dunno about 'favourites' but I find Fred and Rose West a very interesting case.
Theres a good book called wicked beyond belief (the hunt for the yorkshire ripper) by michael bilton who was a policeman on the case , very interesting to read how the police messed up and let sutcliffe slip through their fingers very early in the hunt for him . one of my favourites to read about . :)Originally Posted by Steve's Dad

I'm not as think as you drunk I am.
Beverley Allitt. Not as grotesquely memorable as some, but the fact that she was killing children she was caring for...
Luckily these are fictional characters... #1 is Patrick Bateman (American Psycho) Lovely guy with awesome lifestyle and taste. Well except from his views on women :P
#2 would be Dexter Morgan. I love this guy. I love the way he thinks loud in the series.
This is the best book I have read, not really sure if that counts

However I do admire Jack the Ripper for never being caught, the man was clearly intelligent and had good medical knowledge. I think that's what has intrigued people even to this day, it's still such a great mystery as to who did it. Since I moved to London I've visited a couple of the places around near where I work (Bishops Gate) where victims we're found and it is quite eerie.
I thought Kuklinski might figure in this thread but i'll be honest, I thought that book was appallingly written. Plus if i remember rightly there's good reason to suspect that he over exaggerated the numbers he killed and methods he used to do so.Originally Posted by Bruce
