That's interesting - I didn't know the French used Sig-Sauers - that is what it is, isn't it? A neighbour of mine, a colonel in the Bundeswehr, fired the FAMAS on a trip recently and quite liked it though still didn't think it better than their current issue H&K.Originally Posted by Saint-Just

Yes it is a SIG 552 I believe
The French commandos use a fairly wide variety of weapons, including Famas, HK, and Sig Sauer;
There are quite a few versions of the Famas, some of which are quite impressive. But they don't always take to the water quite as well :D
