Will you leave me that in your will?
Having less than 3 is quite sensible really. I spent years as a one watch guy but there's no way that I could cope with only 3 now.
If I knew the answer to that one I'd have a much smaller safe and more savings.
In the unlikely event of one of my relatives being wealthy and the even more unlikely event of them leaving me a chunk of money on their will I would dash off to the local Rolex AD and order me a...
In my opinion an auto should be serviced every 7 years whether it is run all the time or not.
I love the Sub no end and crave one almost as badly as I do an Exp II Polar but no way would I trade what you've got to buy one.
Probably because many years ago nearly all watches were hand winders and when autos became more common it was something that us peasants aspired to. Of course quartz came along and blew everything...
Buy a big un so you can fill it with watches and not worry about running out of room. The safe guy I consulted said that the electronic keypad type were better than those that needed a key.
Just keep it serviced and enjoy wearing it.
As sure as night will follow day I will continue to drool over a Daytona TT.
I love Seikos something rotten but faced with that choice I would get the Steinny.
You could get a strap box and move the 82 into the newly vacated watcbox.
The Oris Aquis 43mm only wears small so give that a whirl. If you find that a bit big there is the 40mm Aquis or the Chris Ward C61 to consider. The new Trident can give the Aquis a run for its money.
Gorgeous as the Aquis is I don't think the Sub needs to loose any sleep because of it.
No way Jose.
Unforeseen circumstances had nothing to do with it but stupidity did. I had a chance to buy an orange Oris Chronoris and passed it up.
Nice looking crowd. If the Sub has fallen from favour give it to me and I'll make it welcome.
The Bay is awash with watchboxes that fit in safes like mine. If Burglar Bill comes equipped with a thermal lance or some TNT though I'm in bother.
Congrats on the SD. I had discounted one myself because I'm feeble of wrist but if you are one of the slim wrist brigade too you'll have to let us know how you get on with it.
There's nothing worse than a watch forum with tumble weed blowing through it.
When you are dealing with affordables small imperfections are acceptable but at the Rolex level the watch should be perfect so have it put right under warranty. Best of luck with the free service...
Contact HMRC to by email to get their take on the situation and keep their response so that if things go wrong and they say "we never told you that" you can say "yes you did" and produce the email.
Fret not TT. Middle Age is well behind me and I still love divers. The cause of your problem is probably some winter bug you've picked up and with Spring well on its way no doubt divers will be back...
Sounds like you were "bricked" on a whim and your PAM was a bonus for the mugger. I personally would get another PAM.
Great combo and photo Tony.
