Having had a few G-Shocks over the years (four currently), incl. a 5610, these metal watches look really amazing. Congratulations on bagging one - I asked in the Carnaby Street store recently and...
Wearer. All the watches I worried about wearing for fear of damage/scratching etc. (all vintage) have gone, and I'm left with a few wearers that get just that. Much happier and seeing more of each of...
I think the price was just shy of £56k at Laings in Glasgow last week .....
Agreed - these really are great watches, and my first Rolex. I have a 1996 white tritium dial on a flip lock bracelet (which was I believe an option rather than the default bracelet on these at that...
Yes (ceramic Daytona) in mid-2016 - nothing at all was retained, stickers were left on, and it came away in the clear plastic shipping box too.
This for me, as usual. Just realised I have been wearing this for a year, having picked it up in mid-June 2016 - amazing how time flies (as it were)! It is my daily wearer, and I haven't tired of it...
+1 from me too. The white really sings out (in a good way)
+1 from me ..... will always be a 'classic' and very versatile - bit sporty, but dressy, always in style .....
I haven't used Breitling for a few years now, but when I had my mid-90s Chronospace serviced in 2012 I dropped it off at Breitling (not at an AD) in Regents' Street, a week or so later I received a...
If I'm not mistaken (which I often am!), the image of the Frogman has changed on the Outlet website since I initially posted this, and now looks like the latest version? The model number certainly...
Interestingly, the Rolex website gives prices for all the Daytonas except in platinum, which says "price on request" - wonder why that is? Can't see why platinum prices are more sensitive to precious...
Really helpful post - thanks Chris. All goes to show how photographs can be deceptive; your post gives I suspect a much better all round idea than some others I have seen today. Still looks a bit of...
Sorry Andrew - I'm sure you needed another G-Shock though! Best, Mantaray
Just received an e-mail from Casio regarding deals at the Casio Outlet Store .... Frogman at £400 (reduced from £800), Gulfmasters £240 and £290 (reduced from £480 and £580), MTGs at £490, £590 and...
That was my experience about the same time too with a c. 1966 Sub 5513 and c. 1970 GMT 1675. On the latter I asked them not to replace the faded bezel and that was adhered to too ... I always checked...
As has been said previously, not very often at all (I can actually only think of one occasion), and certainly not as much one might imagine from the enthusiasm on the forum ....
Weird .... always the complete opposite down here .... my 5610 is always the most reliable in terms of synching compared to my other three (they aren't bad, but the 5610 never misses)!
Daytona on the wrist, the new Jesus and Mary Chain album on the stereo, and it's Friday .... happy days ....

43mm diameter - blimey .... wonder how thick it is????
Mine vary between models in the same spot! The 5610 synchs without fail, even when it is in a draw, whereas the Rangeman, GX56 and GA-1000 sometime do and sometimes don't (and not all together) even...
Are these a reissue? and if so, has the spec changed in any way? Bit surprised this model has been revived - it tends to be one folk seem to want to try, bit then find too bulky (slighter versions...
That really does look stunning ..... thanks for posting some real-world photos, and especially the wrist shot ... the colours look amazing ....
I too seem to have come full circle - first proper watch was a mid-90s white dial 16570 Explorer II, which I still have as it was a present. This was followed over the years exclusively by black...
That is a truly stunning piece - congratulations!
