Poll: Re: Do you like watches?

There should be an option for "I don't like all watches, only some"

Re: Would you buy a watch with no papers?

It's been suggested to me by a well known trader/seller of new and used Rolexes that the vast majority of buyers, that is non WIS forumite type buyers, aren't concerned in the least about b&p.

Poll: Re: Rolex 16610LV: ROLEXROLEXROLEX ORNOT?

Personally I quite like the engraving on mine, and as others say you don't really notice it. It's something that makes it a little different from my other Rolex, the Seadweller.

Re: what is it with the seadweller

I have a Seadweller. I was trying on a DSSD at Heathrow yesterday for the first time and I was very smitten by how good it looks from the top; the shiny bezel runs seamlessly over onto the flush...

    Re: eBay fees...

Ah, I imagined the OP was a private seller. Presumably once you are 'business' you can't "re-privatise" yourself... :(

    Re: eBay fees...

I can see nothing in ebay.co.uk's help files about auction final value fees that says that jewelry/watches will get charged at anything other than 10% capped at £40.
    I sold a camera for £1400 there...
  13. Re: Daytona-v-Submariner prices 25 years ago why?

Interesting that Rolex are well ahead of inflation since then; I see in online calculators that the Seadweller would have been £2653 last year.

Re: A Rubber Strap for a SD...

I'd like to try that with my SD - how did you go about it exactly? Through Sinn in Germany?
  15. Re: Measure the Precision of Mechanical Watches using iPhone

It'd be great to hear more about this, and what microphones people have used to make it work (hopefully).

Re: Leaving Omega for Rolex ?

If you find your PO is too heavy compared to the Sub, beware that a lot of the weight of the Omega is in its bracelet; if you try it on a normal strap it lightens the PO considerably. The bracelet on...

    Re: Oakley watch vault....

I have a large and a small vault; I think they're great for the money. You need the large for a PO, but a Sub will fit in the small neatly.

    Re: Postal delays/backlog?

It is almost as if they (RM) have said: there's a load of stuff come in on the 24th Dec, we'll leave that til new year. Then they carry on until someone says: what about all that stuff we put aside...

Re: Rolex Sub 16610LV Price Guide

There is no mention of 'my mate's watch' on the advert for the same watch on TURF. For my money, the photos are good enough to show the kind of skin detritus you get from wearing a watch for some...
