They come up on t'bay quite regularly. Many of the ones that do have been significantly modified and are overpriced as a consequence.
There's also a chap in the Philippines who seems to have a...
Cousins again. I was going to say that they seem to be doing well out of this hobby, but several of my orders have cost as much in postage as they have for parts, so perhaps its Royal Mail that...
Speedsonic for me today. Not that shirt, though.

Boley and Jules Borel do some useful part numbers, too:

Great post, with some interesting back story to go with the excellent pictures. Thanks for sharing. I'm off to investigate 3003s...

For future reference, I think I've found Omega's solution to this problem on Cousins:
The annoying part is the Note at the end. I'd rather not have to lose the bracelet reference number - but...
And for a less beautiful example, how about the Omega Seamaster Titanium 150th Anniversary? Looks (to me) like someone engraved it by hand with a dremel.
Moser, I think. Beautiful design. And beautiful photos as ever!
My instant reaction was Seiko, but their chrono's are quartz only, I think.
Also quartz: Certina titanium DS First. Out of budget, but only a little bit. Tissot T-Sport Titanium (I rather like...
That's rather elegant. What sort of size is it?
I suspect that's a very big part of it. For me, I seem to remember being offered one on a street corner in some promotion being run back in the early 2000s. It takes a lot to shake that sort of image...
Brief update. I picked up a green ceramic bezel from t'bay which claims to be a perfect fit for the 16610. While I can't comment on that, I can say that it's a pretty good imitation of the later...
Not sure how possible this is, but what about getting a template laser cut from adhesive vinyl and then brushing or spraying a decent enamel paint over it?

Welcome to the slippery slope...
The JLC for me too, it's a lovely looking watch. But there are still some things I'd have done differently:
I'd prefer a traditional three hander and the moonphase could then be just a moonphase....
Which implies there's something else too...
Likewise. That's really rather excellent.
Lovely watch and great write-up/stunning photos as always. I look forward to these posts.
Chris
I suspect it's not much good as a pool watch with that hole in the side...
Got to be worth a look by an indy, though.
Chris
Agreed, except the "first" bit. 1st, I'd guess that watch deserves proper finishing and 2nd, after your practice you'll probably discover it isn't a good idea anyway...
There are a couple of eBay...
Too true. The time between 50 and 250 is the most dangerous - access to buy, but no way to flip...
A couple of these have appeared on the thread already (serial number places it around 1972):

Definitely what Paul said.
Rocco at Watchworks in Bristol worked wonders with my f300 diver. Some amazing photos in this thread:...
Tuning fork for me.

A reduced is absolutely a valid choice in its own right. I still have mine (as well as a Pro) although I keep thinking about passing it on.
It's slightly smaller so perhaps a more appropriate...
