This is (almost) always the case with new SEIKO releases. At least they don’t increase the prices on current models. But I agree, the price is insane.

Really, that’s interesting news for me. I didn’t get that feeling when handling them. Care to enlighten me and elaborate on that statement?

These are amazeballs!...
Are you for real? Why even say you found it if you don’t plan to share photos? I don’t get it.

Start with these and buckles from Watchgecko. Then when you know exactly what you want, go for some customs.

All sold but the SBGJ. My only beef with GMT is they are a hassle to set.

And GS vs Omega & Rolex

And in comparison to Patek, VC, AP.

Well, he doesn’t give us much to go on. A watch with bad gaskets or open crown takes in moisture and there will be effects regardless of the indices material. That doesn’t prove anything.
Never seen or even heard of a modern GS with corrosion so something to back that claim would be nice.
So? I got a question about accuracy and quoted the specs. I’ve owned more that 15 Grand SEIKOs and the spec is +10/+8 / -1. No mechanical GS I have owned has kept impressive time.
Rolex is -2/+2 spd.
GS hi-beat is +8/-1 spd. The three hi-beat I have owned (bought the new) have all been +7/+8 spd. So for me, the GS hi-beat movement is a gimmic. It’s not accurate enough to...
10 yrs or swap to new equivalent watch is for SEIKO. Modern GS models shouldn’t be a problem.
It’s a matter of philosophy. All mechanical GS movements have individually adjusted alloy hairsprings, that’s why they are not as accurate as Rolex movements. Seiko has a long history of watchmaking...

Ow that we have the GS fam in one thread I might as well post my other GS.
My GS AD ordered it for me. It’s the bracelet intended for the sbgv225, the 243 officially has no bracelet.

I have owned Breitling, Rolex, Panerai, Blancpain, Zenith and what not, but they all pail in comparison to GS when it comes to finishing. If you fancy some GS-reading then read this travel report .
Sounds like a GShock or digital Tuna -trip, not a mechanical trip.
But if you must have a mechanical, then the Hamilton is packbackish.
Agree! SEIKO UKs pricing is insane and the mark up compared to the Japanese prices is stupid high!
You cant fight the internet however, big discrepancies in prices will only lead to UK buyers...
Seiko UK doesn't want parallel import of new Grand Seiko watches directly from ADs in Japan.
This does however not stop anyone from shipping used watches to UK.
Due to the construction of the movement, it shouldn't be possible for the GMT-hand to be misaligned.
I've had numerous GS 9F watches and all but one has hit the markers. The seconds hand can be...
