They do have half links. Or rather, one and a half links. I had to buy an extra link and one of the oversized links to get a good fit for mine.
I've got a WTB up but replying to this thread in case anyone would consider selling the Ralph McQuarrie prints? Everyone says "not that I'd ever sell them" but well all know that's not true :D
Combining two threads, the watch I would buy if the market collapsed would be a Paul Newman modded modern Daytona, from Blaken, Bamford, Project-X or whereever. Changed dial and crown guards removed....
As long as you can comfortably afford the watches you're actually thinking of buying, what is the problem. If you can't afford them, then you have a problem, unless you're buying a SS sports...

A pair of gold 6139s (my Dad's old watch). I was trying to find a third, as presents to my two brothers at...
I have a Snoopy dial and had intended to swap it in, stupidly I forgot and sold the Speedy!
Surely it's a 30 minute job, wouldn't cost you much to undo, if you're not doing it yourself, that is.
twenty grand for that.

Not really much sunshine in Belfast! This dial really does "pop" in the sun. Looks absolutely gorgeous.
Seconding this. The seiko is a really nice watch. Thicker than the sub, but it's easy wearing. I have non watch friends who thought I was stupid to get rid of mine.

Thought long and hard before ordering this but I love it.
Agree to disagree, I think OP flipped so hard that it's now easy to dismiss him, but the interval between purchase and claim would make 99/100 of use pretty sure that the other claim to ownership was...
I appreciate that this thread went AWOL rather fast, but I can't help but think HM's first post was not helpful, and did not address the timeline of purchase, years elapsing, and insurance claim....
Been looking for one for a while now - on eBay anything in a gold finish is in the hundreds, silver finish - thousands.
Ok then - you're stuffed.
The finishing is definitely better than PP, but like PP, I can hardly find a watch in the range that I like the look of. Too busy focusing on the trees and not looking at the woods, if you ask me.
I think someone has mixed up milliseconds with seconds in the javascript.
They are just standard ETA movements, I think, and I think anyone with a bezel puller will be able to get into them. So basically any watchmaker should be able to service it.
I used to know a guy in work who was probably on around £75k, but spent money like water. Had a new Merc convertible on the drip, but the most remarkable thing for me was when he bought a t-shirt at...
It was probably around that time that I was seriously considering going all in (for me) on a £20k 6263 Daytona, silver dial and screw down pushers. I talked myself out of it.

I might have replied earlier in the thread with a pair, the DW-5600E and GMW-85000, but I have in the last few weeks welcomed the GA-2100 from the Speedmaster...
I think that's a lot of people on the forum's old watch :)
I was in Lunn's the other day getting a new bracelet for my 1680 and they took the watch head away to the watchmaker before they would agree to sell one to me, so I assume they had a nosey then.
It's a weird one - lots of thought into the crystal and bezel etc, but zero time spent on the hands and subdials, it could have been so much better, now it just looks like a totally bog-standard...
Huh, I own 3 "space" watches, and not one of them is a Speedmaster.
