Spoken like a true enthusiast. Keep up the good work, keep on saving watches.

That was an impressive improvement.
Real nice job.

You could also try the "Flieger" styled hands. I think they would fit the dial-style very good.

Rule #1 - Always put expensive watch in jacket pocket when entering security.
Make sure it is the first ting put one when passed trough.
(even before shoes/belt.)
Nice of the staff to let you...
My daughter (and I) loved it
Sub - I would wear one any day:-)
Or - should you make your wedding an excuse for buying a new watch.
Best of luck

Still following - with great interest.

Olive, by far

I have only worn this watch a couple of times. http://longines30l.com/Other_images/Citizen_automatic.jpg
The really hard thing with this watch is to find a matching shirt :drunken:

It should be easy to open the front of the crystal (like Braile watches), because you are probably blind if you buy it...
Havi
It looks great.
Where did you get hold of this kind of orange lume?
havi
No locktite?
Why not - should the friction be enough?
I keep on learning.
Havi
Nice build :)
Personally I would bake the hands in an oven to increase the "vinatage" feeling.
But surely a "one of a kind" timepiece.
Havi
Hi.
I am also curious, did you use an airbrush or a bigger "blasting gun"?
Havi
It could also be a magnetic hairspring?
But a proper watchmaker should be able to find out:-)
Regulating a watch without a timer takes a lot of patience... :bigsmurf:
Havi
She even thinks all my watches look the same...
(so I am kind of lucky, she never notices if I have a new watch  )
The screwdrivers are in my opinion one of the most important tools as a hobbyist.
I had a pair of "low priced" screwdrivers, but they ended up costing me a lot of money (and work).
To have...
Carbon on a dial does not do it for me...
Maybe on a high tech chronograph - but not on a diver.
Havi
Have you tried "one dip" from Bergeon?
I think it is made for this purpose
regards, Havi
Replacing is most absolutely an alternative.
If not - take the crystal to someone used to working with glass.
Such as artists/designers and glassblowers, they have the proper tools (and skill)...
Nice work!
You might also consider a black (matt) chapter ring.
Best wishes,
Havi
Without knowing exactly what you are aiming for, I think it would look great if you reduced the size of the hour numbers, as you mentioned.
just my 5c
Best wishes,
Havi
I follow - with great interest.
Thanks so far - and it would be great if you could keep it coming.
Well - I am not a brave man - so I stayed in front of the oven for as long as it took.
When it happens - it happens fast.
:)
