Boo! My ears are burning. I don't hang out anywhere these days, just not enough time! Glad to see you're all well. I still email John once in a while, shoot some watches (admittedly its a lot harder...

The Panasonic FX and TZ compacts are pretty good, as is the latest Ricoh R8.
Second both of these recommendations. The new Shure SE420s are better still; and the UE Triple Fis are about as good as you can get before having to go custom fit. Heck, even the entry level Shure...

3717 is the 7750 based mechanical. That's within chronometer spec and fine, I think. Mine does about the same.
