We have one of these, cant fault the quality, and looks lovely. However the packaging is woeful! We refused 4 of the things due to a hit or rip in the package causing damage to the radiator, with it...
Current hack, need to get rid though as wedding is soaking up funds!

Would agree the curved aspect is a bit of a gimmick and not worth the premium.
I've bought one for work use and wasn't that impressed, soon swapped it out for a Leatherman OHT which is perfect IMO, compact, one handed operation and a strap cutter perfect for cable ties.
The JAL lounge in Tokyo had a bottle on the counter while I was there, lets just say I had a few drams while it was free! Lovely
Far too complicated dials IMO.
I like the new engines! Trust me, week in, week out of pre-2014 F1's does your head in! Plus I like that you can hear all the other sounds now like the turbo spool, tyre squeal etc... Before it was...
Love it.

You didnt dive in the right places then surely? With the 2nd largest reef in the world its pretty hard not to be great diving. I saw 4 seahorses, rays, eels and more fish than i could begin to count...
I believe so.
Got back last week, departure tax is $50 each.
Correct!
Currently there is a system that 'enables' DRS, the driver is still responsible for activating it.
Contracts aren't made through the venues, they are made with Bernie. Bernie holds all commercial rights to all Formula One World Championship events. It is a huge commitment by Rolex, much larger...
The problem I would have with it is that you are then automating the car and taking control away from the drivers. Even the current pit lane limiters require the drivers to press a button to activate...
Rolex have zero to do with the timing of F1 apart from getting their name over everything and paying Bernie a rather large sum for the privilege.
Correct, MYLAPS only supply the core timing equipment (transponders and decoders), its then installed and managed by FOM and timings published to teams, broadcasters and the FIA.
It would be fairly simple to implement, the cars already have 100% telemetry coverage both to and from the car, as well as GPS tracking and loop passing data.
Nice article to read, and they certainly have great ambitions. It's a shame to me however the watches are made in Switzerland and not the UK.

THIS is still my favourite though
If all systems do fail (highly unlikely!), there is actually a very simple backup in operation! ;)
