Quick question for the Sinn U Series lot; I’m after the silicone strap after wearing the bracelet for a year or so, where’s the best place to buy – they seem pretty expensive at Page...

Really? Is there a difference in AD's then? I noticed Goldsmiths and Ernest Jones (both sell Omega, and at the TC) are not listed on the Omega website, however both suggest they are authorised...

Can I be slightly cheeky and ask what the 'very pleasing' figure was..? (will give me something to aim at!)

Really interested in this thread as I'm planning on doing exactly the same thing over the next couple of months. I've budgeted around 10% based on advice/thoughts on here, but am targeting around 15%...

That's also my view, I think you're far more likely to be targeted wearing one of Steinhart's finest than say a Sinn U1 derivative.

My UX (bracelet, GSG9) took around 8 weeks to arrive if I remember rightly - of all the Sinn watches I believe the oiled filled variants take a little while longer as they're more complex to produce....

I'd leave it - as someone has already pointed out, in many parts of the world it's several YEARS worth of salary, and taste argument aside, there are people who will happily exchange you for complete...

I think the one fly in the ointment (or oil) of the UX is the 'return to Sinn' service element. But, if you're happy with that, and it should go 6/7 years...

Have a look at my thread here; might be useful. My Colt was around double the cost of your quote, owing to a few bits that needed replacing! It has come back as new, genuinely as it left the factory...

Well, the postie delivered the watch on Tuesday - pretty pleased as you might imagine. Breitling have done a great job, without a hint of hesitation it looks brand new. I'd forgotten over the years...
