I prefer the older face, but then again that’s what I have.

Happy Christmas and Merry New Year!

I love this watch, to my knowledge it seems to be the first Rolex to qualify as a High Horology watch. I haven’t yet had the chance to try one on (I live many miles from any Rolex AD) and, because my...
Last year I bought a Grand Seiko special ed through them. It took about 2 weeks to get the watch. Everything went fine. As has been said, there are different stores that sell through them, but my...
I’ve frequently seen ads for “real” Rolex watches for $175 USD on Facebook, if you read them in detail they don’t say they are replicas (although they give the actual “pre-sale” price as $1,500!)...
Grand Seiko SBGV027 9F Quartz. Hasn’t varied by even 1 second in 10 months.

Although I generally favor Rolex, I prefer the Blancpain to the Sub or Seadweller. Good luck.

That GS GMT is breathtaking. Still torn between the hi-beat and the spring drive.

Beautiful dress watch, even though it’s a joke that hat gives me the willies.

What a mess, I’ve had nothing but perfection from my Tudor and it’s 3 years old. The idea that with the newer watches there’s a decrease in quality control is upsetting. Probably it’s just very bad...
I set mine using the Atomic Clock app and check each one every day I wear it to verify how accurate they are. I re-set about once a week depending on how accurate they are.

Congratulations it looks great, in essence the Tudor version of the Rolex Date. Although 34mm may sound small in today’s market, they wear surprisingly well. Fine watch.

I have only 3 watches, Rolex Datejust, Tudor Black Bay, Grand Seiko quartz. I wear them in rotation, so I’m definitely a wearer. I hope to add one more watch, most likely a Rolex Explorer II polar...
The Polar Explorer II is a kind of grail for me. Unfortunately, as others have said, 42mm is just too big for me. I’m looking for a good 40mm late in the series.

Let’s see a picture if you can. Sorry it doesn’t impress you immediately. When I got my first Rolex, a DJ it didn’t immediately grab me but within a few days I couldn’t take my eyes off of it and...
I'm never tired of reading "First Rolex" posts. Congratulations on a great and bold watch. The new Air King is a fascinating design.

I am also interested in a GMT Master, actually a GMT Master II as I like the ability of having a third time zone. I'm personally not interested in a true vintage watch, although one from the early...
As you said the brown face is divisive like Marmite itself (I grew up with it and love it) I also love the brown face, but admit that it's not going to be everyone's taste. I have a red faced SBGV027...
If it were limited to these two I'd choose the AT, just a better watch, but if I had my choice I'd choose a Zenith El Primero over either. The following one is clearly less than £4,000 but it's from...
Good Comment, as someone who will be 66 in October, being an "old grandad" to some, doesn't extinguish the rock and roll kid who was raised to "never trust anyone over 30." Thanks for putting it in...
This question should be easy for me, in just over 4 years I'll reach that dreaded age (say it isn't so!). However I'm too far into the watch culture to look at this from the POV of an older gentleman...

Congratulations, love the ETA Blue.

I like the look of the Zenith El Primero 1969 better, but that's a personal thing, some people don't like the overlapping colored subdials. The Tipo CP2 looks more like a rugged tool watch and if you...
