Favorite sub 40mm, Seiko 7a28 or 7a38. You should be able to pick up a solid example for approx £175 if you have a little patience.

That's annoying. Have owned this -nice watch kept great time +_ 2 sec pd out of the box. However, I definitely prefer my 775 turtle. As you have the padi it may already filled a niche.
