Thought it worth resurrecting...
7 in the watch box with the collection having remained stable for 12 months without any ins or outs :? . Perhaps I'm cured???
Great little collection you've got there - congrats!
Nice to see that superb 58 Seamaster again Dave! For me the novelty of a birthyear watch wore off once the hunt was over and I am delighted to see that magnificent example back with it's "rightful"...
I recently purchased a Sony SLT-A55V DSLR with 2 x zoom lens kit. Amazing camera, still working out all the modes and features and currently waiting on a 28mm macro lens to arrive from HK. ...
pretty much my daily wearer these days: P-serial 16710

 no wonder they're hard to find - you've got them all!!!
big respect, Mr Wood, big respect :salute:
definitely 90's Omega accoutrements - this is the full kit for my 1993 pre-Bond (plus a few extras from a Bienne re-furb):

A nice Rolex Explorer II (which is a "true" GMT) recently sold on RLT for 2.2k - might be worth considering

Best wishes to all for a safe festive season! :drunken:
Only BaIl I've owned was this 40mm Fireman (no longer in production I believe). Excellent build quality and kept exceptional time:

very, very noice - congrats
The disc with the red arrow head indicates 24hr time, it is not part of the chronograph function
Many Seiko's have bi-lingual day discs, the disc in my 7A38 is Spanish & English
Omega (Bienne) still have them, they fitted one to my pre-Bond earlier this year
Have used them, and they certainly do the job, but I find them messy to use and I dislike the smell. "Hero" guitar cleaning cloths (I get mine from the local guitar shop) do the same job without the...
love a chrono where the sub-dials don't "eat" the hour numbers - tasty bit of kit, that one
Nothing daft about it at all, many of us (myself included) have trod that path! Whilst the movement number will give an indication of the year, the Omega can provide you with an "Extract from the...
Had a Fireman, excellent build quality, mine kept exceptional time and nothing beats those trit tubes for lume! A bit expensive new, but quite good value in the used market IMO. Unique designs is...
Nice to see it go back home Dave, wouldn't mind having its frequent flyer miles!
Enjoy (again)
Cheers

pointless paying a premium for a 3186 powered GMTII over a regular 3185 IMO. My clunky old 16710 runs -0.5secs per day on my wrist, can't see the point in paying an excess for something that won't...

A very informative read, Tom, thanks for going to the trouble to put that together.
Hope the knee comes good soon!
