A nice looking watch for sure, but would have to see one in the metal. I just wish Seiko would lose the Prospex X!

I do agree with some previous posters, for me, if you want a vintage inspired...
The Night Mission is top of my want list at the moment, such a great iteration of the Aerospace - it's a good job I missed the PSA as I'm in the process of moving and saving for a wedding, not a good...
Agree with the others above... I have had many vintage Seikos (and still do have!) over the years and they always benefit from a service and a new crystal. The case and dial/hands will always show...
Is there any sort of reset or ac contact that you need to short on these movements after a battery change?
Failing that, it could be that the movement needs a service as you suggest? Once it has...
Oh no.... I really don't need antoher G-Shock, but this is tempting!!
Looks a bit of a beast! I have a Rangeman and a Rescue, looks like this wears a little bigger than the Rangeman?
Awesome!!
The Night Mission is the best of the Aerospace models in my opinion, would have one in a heartbeat if I had the spare funds.
Enjoy it!
Great job Bodo, the lume looks good to my eyes!
Reminds me of my own 6309 restoration project!!
All it needs now is a slightly less worn bezel insert, more in keeping with the dial & hands.
...
Oh...also, just to add - she loved it and has been wearing it reguarly!!
Sorry to bump this old thread, but whilst trying to copy the flickr links i have somehow deleted a post altogether!! Can't workout how to undo the deletion, so have just copied and pasted it again as...
That is how I started to feel.
I have watched a few reviews and the general opinion is along the lines of your experience, the Thorogood uppers are softer and comfortable out of the box, whereas...
Hi guys, I know there are a few Red Wing fans on here, but how about Thorogood?
I'm quite tempted to pick up a pair of Thorogood Moc toe boots, but there doesn't seem to be many suppliers in the...
I totally agree with this, as nice as this re-issue is the dial just looks like an aftermarket one - the original is far nicer imo.
The rest of the watch looks really good, but the dial and...
This is how I kind of feel about it as well.
I felt the same when the Turtle was re-released, it was great for Seiko to bring back an iconic watch, but when original 6309's are still readilly...
Wow S.L - I've not seen a Tuna like that before.
Very nice, I'm guessing it's some kind of JDM LE model?
Thanks - I'm really happy with it now, it's certainly a lot nicer than when I bought it as a bit of a project a few years back.
Have considered parting with it before, but it was a Seiko grail of...
Thanks Neil, the early Geneve's are indeed very nice. I believe they were second tier to the Constellation at the time?
They certainly have more interesting designs than the later Geneves, the cross...
Thanks Paul, she will keep it dry & safe I hope!
I read up on the 6 series calibre and it seems the 610 used a swan neck setup, whereas the 611 & 613 used an eccentric adjuster.
I will...
I received the Omega yesterday evening, have had a chance to take a quick look over and take a few pics - overall I am quite pleased!!
All looks to be in good order to my eyes, the case has been...
Hi PickleB, I did have a look at the Omega vintage database.
From looking around on Google I'm pretty sure this is a 14724, which has been removed from the database, although it still shows up in...
Thanks again Paul - I will do.
Thanks Mark - well spotted.
Paul, thanks for the advice, much appreciated. I initially thought the dial was restored as it looked so clean in the photos, but I think they are a little overexposed,...
Take a look at Didriksons - don't see loads of them in the UK, my partner just bought a Didriksons Lina parker, for the cost it is great quality.
Good quality, looks good and keeps her warm & dry...
My 62mas will be 50 this year.....scrubs up well!!

Very nice.....still fancy trying a Sumo one day - sharp looking diver!!
I've been on the lookout for a vintage Omega for my partner.
Ideally something 60's, round case, simple dial - some gold in the mix.
I have been keeping an eye on the classifieds & eBay,...
