Cant comment on why people buy or dont buy a watch but what I do find strange about these brands is they do actually have some of their own original designs but they get considerably less interest on...
SM do have a few of their own designs, a GMT year of the dragon recently sold out (so yes they do have wait lists you need to sign up for the next batch). They have another one coming out soon.
Just a Quick Look online and you can buy an Accurist quartz or Sekonda for £40, Seiko 5 on Amazon for £75
I’m not sure Sinn watches are in stock there (or anywhere for that matter). The steel version is about £2700
Guinand have a very similar design (Werksfahrer Chrono) for about 2K including tax.
Yes, that was the first logo also my preferred one. I had a pilot watch with that logo and their sector watch which I think was probably their best designed one but at 44mm was just too big and...
Speaking of Christopher Ward they have gone through several logo changes. Many people mistakenly believe that the CHRward (or something similar) was the original logo it wasnt, there was a CW logo...
A couple I have used for storage of other things like watch straps there are one or two that are "travel cases" so are practical to keep. I think of some watch boxes I have had over the years, I...
I have been having a bit of a clear out and going through some old watch boxes I have started to throw a few out. I know for many people the whole "Box and papers" is a big thing but unless its some...
Nomos had a "brown gold" watch a few years back I always thought it was a really nice looking watch I think its discontinued now.
Very good review of this watch OP I think your detailed photos...
Yes, would like to know your thoughts on your new watch OP
Is this chrono24 or some other website?
That’s very cool, nice detail and great photos.
I agree the GMT hand should have a pointer or something to make it a bit more distinct and easy to read. Just one thing, is the text raised in some way on the dial (The Ming logo and 24 hour time)? ...
Does anyone have one?
I know Steinhart are better known for their homage watches I thought this was quite interesting, at just over £600 it seems the most affordable automatic moon phase out there...
Thanks for your feedback gents.
The watch in question is a Venezianico, it seems to be their standard movement now I seem to remember when they started up they used Swiss movements. Its not for...
Morning all,
Not sure if this has been asked before but would it be possible to swap an NH35 movement in a watch for one of better quality? I did a quick look online and it may not be possible...
Very nice looking Smiths you have there.
Paul serviced my dads old Orient Mako which had a pretty scratched up glass, he did a great job replacing the glass and the service. As you say very fair...
I expect it’s more a case of Citizen have missed the boat a bit with the whole integrated bracelet fad. It’s nice enough but I hear the crown is difficult to use and it’s a non hacking movement. ...
Just text them the route you used to take to and from Liverpool games when you supported them and I’m sure they will be fine.
?????
Have a word with yourself
Eh?
Where did I say they were not available at list?
My mistake,
Dornbluth prices may have gone up but GO have gone up more :highly_amused:
Dont take my comment as a criticism of the brand I will always love Dornbluth.
