Modern Rolex Sub are brilliant. That is my preference. I can appreciate vintage Subs but they are not for me.
Splendid watches but the cases are massive. This and their near GS prices have eroded their market appeal.
But I have to say I prefer the dials and hands on these vs their Spring Drive GS...
Rolex GMT BLRO with Jubilee bracelet.
One man’s rubbish another man’s treasure..
With a good discount, surely
I had a B50 Cockpit Night mission. Disappointing watch. Gaining more than the promised 15 seconds a year. Breitling USA claimed the B50 module can not be regulated. Got rid of the watch and took a...
Mine is 9 years old and has been my defacto travel all that time.
Very reliable. I always send it back to Breitling for battery service. Just had a movement overhaul service done about a year ago....
Good move Jack!
Brodinkee is a commercialized joke these days. Clymer sold the business and its soul/integrity to the highest bidder. And well here is the result.
Must hurt losing what amounted...
Congratulations!
The purely white Snowflake dial should work much better on the 247. Look forward to your pictures and impressions.
Good watch and all-rounder. My 42mm Aerospace is currently running at an incredible +1.2 seconds a year. Originally bought it new back in 2013, at the time when the 43mm EVO came to replace it. I...
The Spring Drive Chronograph, calibers 5R84 (Non GMT), 5R86 (GMT), 9R84 (Non GMT, and 9R86 (GMT) were introduced in Japan in 2007, 15 years ago.
I don’t expect to see a second generation 9RA5...
Please define “”Better””.
And while at it, can you name ONE Spring Driven, 100% in house, column wheel/ vertical clutch chronograph from another manufacture?
It is pretty clear. You don’t get it and that’s quite all right!
Leave it alone.
Learn to pick your battles wisely. This is not one of them.
You risk they gouging or putting scratches on the watch and introducing other problems you don’t have today.
True but quite frankly at the retail prices of these watches they should be Solar.
Should not be difficult by Swatch Group/Omega to upgrade these to support solar charging. Changing batteries...
No issues using the crown in my Aerospace. Granted, pushers are easier to operate but have found negative claims regarding the single rotating crown operation of the Aerospace greatly exaggerated
Interesting. In the 10 years I have owned my 42mm Volcano Black Aerospace I have never have the clasp catch on clothing or anything for that matter..
My main caveats with the Omega multifunction thermocompensated quartz watches discussed in this thread, are COST and rather poor battery life (24 months or less depending on backlight and usage...
I can assure that GS cases and lugs are also machined with finishing done by hand. I have been to the factory in Japan (Seiko Epson Shinshu watch studio, home of Spring Drive, quartz and micro artist...
From the Breitling side, the 42mm Aerospace and 43mm Aerospace EVO are their very best ana-digi offerings. Also keep in mind the battery in the Aerospace caliber 79 Superquartz movement lasts 3 to 4...
That is a very nice find indeed.
Late afternoon switch to the Milgauss GV Z-Blue

How many years old is the watch?
