I do like a smaller watch.

Nothing to see here. Move along. :-)
I’ve always wanted one of those and regret not getting one when they were more readily available (and before the prices went north). Great watch.
Thank you. The box sapphire should allow me to avoid going down the side. I just won’t go too close to the edge and give it a good rinse when finished. That’s if I actually decide to do it!
Ok, if I try removing these very fine ‘scratches’ should I just polish the affected area or should I polish the entire surface of the crystal? I’m considering starting with 0.25 micron diamond paste...
Apparently there are doubts that series 3 will happen despite supposedly being filmed alongside series 2. The production company/financier went bankrupt last year:

Thanks for that. Very interesting and every day is a school day and my understanding was obviously incorrect.
I think there has to be some tolerance allowed. It would annoy me if it missed every marker or was between every marker but a little off some is ok by me.
Also I wasn’t aware that the 2264/2541...
Pretty much all I’ve been wearing since its arrival.

HAGWE.
Thanks for that.
I think I was concerned about 'over polishing' and leaving a distortion/indentation in the crystal. I guess if I'm not planning using a dremel or similar tool and only polish by...
Thanks for the replies. I’ll stick it in the microwave for 30sec to get the oils moving freely again. :chuncky:
I really don’t know but I assume it was all working ok and put away due to needing a new battery. Battery seems to be ok and genuine Renata. The alarm is working fine now but the time isn’t.
Perhaps it is the battery then. I read that high drain batteries should be used in movements with an alarm function etc.
Yes, crown is screw down.
Thanks for the responses.
Just replaced a battery in a friends Tag Formula 1 Alarm. The alarm now works but seconds hand not ticking. The watch had been sitting for a long time in a drawer.
The battery that I removed was...
Price was definitely just for the part. It didn’t even include fitting, that was extra.
Do you rub the polish in a circular motion or back and forth?
Once I discovered the cost of a new one, replacing wasn’t an option. £5 on diamond paste would sort it but don’t think I’m even going to bother with that incase I manage to make it worse (which is...
This is the level of scratching I’m talking about. Impossible to capture all the very faint ones which are around the same area between 4 and 5 marker but as you can see it certainly doesn’t need...
I was really shocked when I heard this. What a loss to world athletics and more importantly to his family and friends. So sad.
So if that’s including VAT they are around £60 cheaper than STS. Bargain. Mine is also the 36mm version so I was expecting it to be a little less expensive.
LLD owners, protect your crystal. :-)...
I had heard the price of the LLD crystal was extortionate (a few other posts online about it) so I sent an email to STS asking for a quote:
£711.98 including vat for the part (REF L319155409)...
Nope. That price is just for a crystal. Madness.
Yeah, no external AR on this one, just internal. I think I’m more inclined just to leave it as is. They really aren’t noticeable in everyday wear and even then it’s only in certain light that you can...
